Absolutely right! My Sunday dinners are like that plus roast potatoes as well which Bubbs doesn't eat.

    Today's plan:

B - Toasted bacon & mushroom sandwich spread with Philli Lightest (0.5)
L - Jacket potato, beans, HM coleslaw (0.5)
D - Sweet & sour pork & rice - using LO roast pork

    HEA - milk in teas
    HEB - bread
Syns - philli lightest 0.5; LTL mayo 0.5

    Denise

Change of plan for lunch as we were still out and about at lunchtime and couldn't find anywhere doing jacket potatoes so ended up in Nando's. I had the butterfly chicken, corn on the cob (no butter) and Supergrains with beans and a avocado & buttermilk dressing. The chicken was 3 Syns but I can't find the syns for the super grains. I'm assuming they're Free as it's just quinoa, barley etc with green beans, soya beans etc but it's the dressing. It's only a drizzle, probably no more than a tablespoon so thinking 2 syns so a total of 5 syns for lunch so not too bad.

If anyone knows what the syns are for the grains & dressing I'd be grateful to know as if we go again I'd quite like to have them again.

Just enjoying looking at some of the photos on here!

I will be joining you all after Xmas. I have registered to do a 12 week course and will probably start on 29 December.

    Happy Christmas everyone.

Welcome to the thread Pennylane. I'm sure you'll enjoy the food too. Why not start this week? Most groups will be having parties with lots of people bring tasters so you'd get to try lots of different SW low sun & Free food. Think about it, perhaps even phone the consultant of your local group.

    Good luck whatever you decide.

Well I sacrificed my scrambled egg on toast / mushrooms / veggie sausage for a paleo bar in Wetherspoons this morning. That and 3 coffees (black with a splash or three of semi skimmed).

But you can have scrambled egg on toast and mushrooms and LM red onion sausages are a free food. What is a Paleo bar?

    Morning!

+1.5lbs for me this week. That's 2 weeks in a row I've put weight on but I'm not surprised. I just keep telling myself how much worse it would be if I wasn't on plan some of the time. I feel like damage limitation is the best I can hope for over the next 2 weeks now and I've blown the chance to reach my target by Xmas, but I'm not giving up. If I can get there by the end of January I'll be delighted so just need to keep at it.

    Today:
No breakfast as had to drive 3.5hrs to work
Lunch - SW Lasagne and salad (HEA - cheese)
Dinner - Whatever the meat and veg option is at the hotel!
    No snacks today

Its a difficult time of the year, its a lifestyle change not a race;) you will get there:D

    Afternoon all :D

Thanks for the welcome. When I packed up smoking 14 years ago I planned for a few weeks ahead, psyched myself up and went for it on 1st February.

I am therefore applying the same method to slimming. So I am telling myself I dont want fattening food and WILL lose weight and I am on a countdown to my start date of 29 December.

I have a very elderly Mum who needs a lot of support and elderly relatives to ferry about over the Xmas period as well as a lot of people to feed so I am not attempting to join before my chosen date.

    Thanks again.:T

I didn't understand the need to sacrifice a decent breakfast either bubbs . A paleo bar is a bit like a HIFI but made with dried fruit and nuts no grains. AFAIK they all have syns.

sleazy , do they offer particular advice for veggies online? If you are doing Extra Easy like most of us then you should have a third of your food as Speed fruit or vegetables.

I've had a strange day. Been to a nibbly party but was driving so no booze! :D I limited myself to a few small, crustless brown sandwiches so I'm synning the bread. Snacked a bit more when I got home.

    Today's EE plan
B: NAS grapefruit, half HEB toast, fried eggs, baked beans, HEA milk for drinks
    L: ham, pickles, LO veg
    D: sandwiches, tomatoes, cornichons, beetroot

    Morning!

Dinner in the hotel last night ended up being Chicken Madras with boiled rice, which was nice but not very SW friendly.

    So today's food...
    B - 3 bacon, 2 poached eggs, beans and mushroom, 2 slice w/meal (HEB+6 syns)
L - Burger in a bowl with HEA cheese
D - Steak, veg and boiled potatoes
Snack - Alpen light bar - 3 syns

Thanks Bubbs, I'd be fine if I wasn't staying in this bloomin hotel again this week. 2 sleeps then I'm back home permanently! :)
You can have results or excuses, but not both.
