Mum's popped in on her way back from Morries and commented on how clean everything looks (actually just clear realy; surprising how a clutter-free hallway sets the tone);)
Coffee slurped. DS's bed stripped. Planning on changing his duvet as we have two spare double duvets and I can...well I think I have two - just about to drag the bag of the top shelf in the landing cupboard to check.
Right now i am sitting in my office/guest room. Woot!

  • 1pm and I'm pleased with how this morning has gone.
Whole house is tidy & clean (thank you amazing cleaner) and I'm doing well with my list, even completing a few more (and actually quite big) jobs.

    Highlights from the morning include:
Office is tidier than it's been for months ( if not years)
I've sorted through the paperwork pile, filed what I can (need to buy some more files to put the stuff in now though)
I've got less shredding now than I did, and that's with adding all the shredding from the inspected paperwork pile
The landing bookcase (hotspot where stuff that needs to go up to the office on the top floor) has been sorted.
Everything is in the correct room.
All the shredding & paper type rubbish is in the boot of the car to go to the recycling centre this afternoon.
Start of the month banking, finance jobs and money shuffles all done.
Organised a play date for Pickle tomorrow.

This afternoon is some 'out of the house' jobs:
    Recycling centre
    Food shop (small one)
    Random homeware shop
    'In the house jobs:'
Pack for various trips away next week (all family members going in different directions, so I need to do two lots of packing, hubby can do his own. )

    This evening:
Crafty prep for service on Sunday
Make a start on 2 work projects (unlikely to get them done this afternoon)

    Just lost a post :mad::mad::mad:

This morning I have cleaned the whole house - more in sorrow than rage. Last night DH began feeling ill again (signs of renewed infection) so I had to cancel our trip to see DS2 and family today, and to take out DGS3+4. DS2 has also been quite poorly recently (he has Crohn's disease) and I was looking forward to giving him and DDiL2 a bit of quality time together, as well as playing with the boys :(:(:(:(

At least the house is clean and tidy, so won't need more than a quick S&S before the Charity EGM on Saturday morning.

DH is feeling a bit better now: he couldn't get an appointment with the GP who's been looking after him for the past month, but she is supposed to be ringing him sometime today.

I need an hour's zzz before I take Rosie out for her walk...
  • Sorry to hear about poorliness Ionafan.

Just popping in for some motivation, I'm starting to flag.
Out of the house jobs done.

Question is, can I get the packing done in the hour ish I have between now and going to get Pickle. The answer to that should be yes.

Go go go go go wish!

Better duvet put on DS's bed. Old (and very tired-loking) duvet popped in the bin. Fling. Old coathanger, with broken trouser bar also flung. It was from Richards!
Washing pegged out because it dried up outside.
Yesterday's washing (in the main) ironed until I filled the maiden.
School christmas card etc order spreadsheet tidied up. Now I can check that what I have banked/still got to bank matches up with what we have sold. As cheques and cash have to be banked on separate slips I have merely banked notes and cheques so far (and that is to make sure there are no issues with cheques;)).

I hope your DH feels better soon, Ionafan.

I don't feel that I have achieved much today. Flying proper has been limited to one load of ironing and 1 load of washing to take its place. I've spent the afternoon at the laptop, trying to tick something off the paperwork pile. One tadpole that actually might have been closer to frog size has been eaten, and another started. Of course I would have got to the same point slightly quicker if I hadn't shut the spreadsheet without saving it. And I should know better, as it's my day job.

Apart from that, I've ticked off a couple of small errands, and that's about it. Not a lot to show for a day off.

Get well vibes for Mr Ionafan and anyone else needing them.
Yesterday was mainly full of calls to car insurance, arranging car pickup and hire car drop off. Plus a load of bank stuff. And report writing. And starting to clear up for visitors arriving later.

Now treating myself to coffee in Sainsb$$y after a marathon shop. Golly it's costly, although we are 7 for dinner tomorrow so maybe I just bought too much. Mr N is in gym and soon to pick me up to get home in time for car collection- garage said between 1 and 6 - then 1st visitor at 2pm. And the day goes on.
    Dw on, letters posted.
