Washing on line. Mouse removed, pots washed, shoes tried on (Clarks delivery); pair I will keep currently on feet being bedded in (right foot slightly bigger than left); patent brogue/flats for work.
DS has moved bookcase into postition in newly-designated office/guest room. Starting to reload with books, box files (inc sister's memory box; all the sympathy cards, flower cards, letters etc I received which I was too shocked to properly read at the time. Also Order of Service. And the birthday card she sent me that last year...and she and her husband took me out to a very nice Italian restaurant because she wanted to celebrate with me.

Lots of ((hugs)) to you, Roundtuit xx

Sticks being thrown to all those BDs out there too.

Thank you for the lists, I'm slow off the mark today but will need to get my act together tomorrow.

We came back from holiday on the night boat, so are now home, unpacked, first washing load done, and the hallway looks like an offshoot of Ma?estic. It was a lovely few days, catching up with friends, doing absolutely nothing, and playing with dogs.

DD is in full Hallowe'en mode, although that seems to consist of making cookies and preparing to watch Coraline. DH is challenging himself to make every available flat space into a hot spot. I'm about to tackle the ironing pile, which is the washing I left drying before we went away. Bad flylady.

    Hugs Roundtuit.

Went to Boxing straight from work, so no flying done today. I need to clean out the tortoise tomorrow, so will need to vacuum the front room then anyway.

Front room is the cleanest in the house, as it's where we spend the most time, so shouldn't take too long to spritz up.

Oh dear, just as we'd got quite a lot done today something had to happen. Set off for our dance class - dark twisty country lane, car coming towards us so no main beam and out steps a fallow deer. Mr N happened to be driving but I couldn't have avoided it either. Nasty big bang but to our surprise it ran away. I hope the poor thing is only bruised. We could only glance at the car by torch, but I fear there is a fair bit of damage. I know it's only a car but I was only thinking this week that it's 18 months old and not a scratch.:

  • I'm sorry, Roundtuit.

Got home from work to find a veritable Halloween Hovel had been set up. I must admit, I am rather impressed with his handiwork.

He was very happy when we started being besieged by large groups of over excited mini monsters, as they were all so cute and happy to see the house - and his Jack o' Lantern t-shirt.

Went off to Choir and suddenly realised just how tired I was at 9. Got back at 10.15pm and he's now playing loads of cartoons and videos. I will be going to bed at midnight.

  • Today is a flying day, I have until 4:30 (pick up the Pickle from the Childminder's time - no work for me today!)

I have a physical list, I need the satisfaction of ticking things off.

Lots of half hour timers for various jobs and a hot spot to clear. I will not be distracted by social media until I stop for lunch (hopefully around 12:30)

Go go go go go flyers!

    Morning everyone.

Hugs to all those having difficult times of it.

Narc0 - fingers crossed the damage wasn't too bad in the light of day. They are so difficult to avoid when they just step out like that. I seem to spend so much of my driving time avoiding pheasants and scanning the hedges for deer.

I took my cup of tea back to bed this morning after DH had gone to work. It's the last day of my holiday, so I indulged in reading a bit of my book. I have a long list of things to do today off various lists, although DD wanted me to take her out today. As she was up in the night being sick (very unusual, but it is the second time this week that she has felt / been sick), I'm hoping that she will stay in bed and get over whatever bug she has picked up.

    Ironing first, I think.

    Have a good day.
