Mixed day yesterday though generally good.
Got my mum to her coach home after a good weekend.
One load through wm.
Went into town with list for 2 planned 'project's- the decorating and Xmas. Sadly met some very inept shop assistants so got less done than I'd hoped which burst my bubble of enthusiasm a bit.
Took Mr N for his blood test where they were unusually quiet- I was still in the C0sta queue with my drink being mixed when he came out!
Collected 3 carpet samples to lay around and consider.
Wrote part of a report.
Am rather hurt by a comment from mil to Mr N about my mum "coming to snoop around". Actually we'd gone for a walk while Mr N took mil to Tesc0, Then dropped in to say hello out of politeness - we could have just waited in the car. We said hello but she just looked through us and walked into the kitchen. They've never got on, but fortunately m mum just expressed sadness on the way home that mil had got so vague and 'lost'; the actual comment was made to Mr N yesterday. Bodes well for Xmas. Sorry rant over.
Anyway I have lots of lists and only 1 student today for a lesson, no assessments this week so I hope to catch up.Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.0 -
Just had a phone call to say my niece is coming up with her children, including her baby daughter whom I have not yet seen. So pleased I worked so hard on the house yesterday; today I had planned to start work on the office (DD's room will be a dual role room). Might still get the shredder and bookshelf shifted.Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily Dickinson

Still running around like a headless chicken and achieving very little.
Though I did do two WM loads yesterday.
I washed the Dys0n filters a few days ago, and still haven't reassembled it yet! Bad Flylady! Mishka will be going home today though, so tomorrow I shall be vaccing up Mishka-hair.
I admit I'm really struggling; yesterday I had about six tasks in my mind that needed doing, and found myself standing in the hallway with no clue of why I was there, which room I was heading to, or what for.
Anyways, I have no dog here tomorrow, so hopefully will get chance to pretty much blitz the place, before Bessie Spaniel arrives at 09:00 on Thursday. If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -

Hmm.. A similar subject was talked about at work the other day and I flippantly said "I have wanted to run away far more as a adult than I ever did as a child" :rotfl:"There's a little witch in all of us"🔮🪬🧿DEBT FREE 06/2018Mrs SD’s Decluttering 2025 ⭐️ 🥇0 -
As it happened niece went to mum's and I popped up there. Good decision - mum has the heating on. Held the baby, asleep in my arms, for about an hour.
Ironed yesterday's washing before I went.Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016

I've washed and ironed and washed and ironed and .........
DD2 did cook a baked potato for our lunch and out for dinner with DD1 this evening so looking forward to that. I will be taking her all her clean ironed washing.
See you tomorrow0 -
More flingage - DVDs and CDs taken to Oxfam; all thrown out by DD.
The baby, by the way, moved in her sleep. To Jack, aged 2, I said 'oh look she's dreaming'. Jack said - 'she's thinking about your boobie' I said 'she'll have to think about mummy's boobie, there's no milk in mine because I haven't got a baby!'Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016

Nice easy day in work although I didn't find the missing £10, must have misscounted yesterday. The new notes are so sticky.
I'm currently halfway through a 6 week gym challenge, and was supposed to have my mid-way assessment/chat today but they cancelled and re-booked for Monday.
So as soon as I got home I tackled the bathroom, with the idea that if I sat down I wouldn't get back up again. I'd forgotten how much I love the smell of bleach.
I'm ashamed to say no room has had a thorough clean for ages (although I have kept with the basics, vaccuming & bleaching loos etc).

Himself has launched into a full blown baking session for Halloween. All I can say so far is that the cake and cookie [?] mixtures taste nice. Heaven knows what's going to happen to them once he's exposed them to the [strike]domestic incinerator[/strike] slightly faulty oven.
I expect to return from work tomorrow to find the place has been decorated, a playlist of suitably themed music (none of my classical stuff, though - the Dies Irae is apparently a little too intense for the general population of miniature werewolves, cats and robots that invariably turn up at the door in his opinion) and he's happily handing out sweets to the Smaller Offspring of the Parish. The house is known to be on the Trick or Treat Route by almost every small (and not so small - well, they like sweeties too, even if they are as tall as me) child in the area, what with it being on the way back from a Primary School and visible from the feeder road to the main routes in and out of town.
He is rather pleased with himself, though. I was rather unreasonably concerned because I haven't been able to find my Granddad's wooden spoon for months despite his assurances that it was here - but he remembered where he'd put it for safekeeping - underneath the cutlery organiser in the drawer. He emerged from the kitchen after some clattering, brandishing it like a trophy. It's somewhere between 40 - 70 years old and is the best wooden spoon in the world, being small and with a corner to it. But more to the point, it was Granddad's and I have nothing else of him, not even a photograph.
The kitchen was clean. I haven't been back in there since, though. I don't suppose it is clean anymore.I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.Yup you are officially Rock n Roll0
