AC Cobra for me. Some nice looking replicas available around £20K - £30K.
Otherwise Aston Martins0 -
Our first car was a 1600cc Triumph Vitesse. (I have always loved the "busy" sound, a straight six makes.)
Wrote it off on black ice!
Before we reached the age when you have to buy a Honda Jazz, we had an Audi A2. The best car we have owned I reckon.
Neither car would be in my list of "still nice" looking cars.0 -

I see onomatopoeia99 mentioned a DS19, have you ever driven one? They were awful, underpowered and soft suspension with very heavy steering!
There is a field near us in France full of them rotting away covered with brambles because even the French don't want them.0 -

Citroen 2CV
Triumph Dolomite (original 1854 or Sprint)
Ford Capri Mk 3
Land Rover Series 2
Funnily enough, I have owned all of these. Not sure if that is my excellent taste, or if I like the stuff I get.David_Aston wrote: »TR6 anyone? If someone is nice to you but rude to the waiter, they are not a nice person.0 -

I was more tempted by an advert for a company that would rebuild an MGB or GT on a heritage bodyshell, new window glass, new hood and trim, and anything up to the 4.6 litre iteration of the Rover V8. All pretty much as new ... "from" £20k.
I was sorely tempted. Only the lack of £20k prevented me.If someone is nice to you but rude to the waiter, they are not a nice person.0 -
I'm a big fan of Rovers. I've had a 1955 Rover 75 and a 1972 2000 tc. Always wanted a 3500 in some shape or other, but never got round to it. I once went to a tractor pulling competition where one rig, instead of having a big diesel engine was powered by 6 rover v8s. I loved the sound it made.
However the iconic car for me has to be the e type. That long bonnet, like a rocket, with the passenger cabin bolted on as an afterthought really appeals.0 -
In a hypothetical reality where I could have ever-changing vehicles, I woud definitely want a Citroën DS, CX or XM.
