Natwest still looks down to me...?
Has it broken again? The above facts belong to everybody; the opinions belong to me; the distinction is yours to draw...0 -
I've just applied for a Natwest card, at the end of the application it said that I'd been accepted in principal. When I'd saved the agreement it came up with a message saying that they were unable to give me an instant decision and would contact me within 10 days. I'm confused, does this mean I won't get my card??0

Does it say anywhere on their website that you can bt to your current account and also that it is feeless to do so by phone?0

Does anyone know who exactly issues Natwest cards? Have heard that the groups (RBS) Credit card centre is located in Southend. Does Natwest manage its own credit card operations or is it done collectively with other RBS companies?
Thanks,0 -
I am new to forum and have tried dip my toe into stoozing but have already hit my first hurdle. In the process of applying online a CC I am being asked which credit cards I want to set up a balance transfer for. Surely I need to transfer the money (assuming I am accepted and get a reasonable credit limit) to a bank/building society account. From earlier threads I understood Natwest allowed this. Am I wrong or is this a new feature.0

You really need an Egg card or MBNA (I have Virgin) to be able to "easily" get funds to your current account and on to the stooze pot.
It sounds like you need to read up on stoozing further before "dipping your toe" as you put it. I suggest ALL Martins credit card articles (the yellow box to the left of this screen), previous posts on the subject (go back 2 or 3 months - I did before I started), and also check out https://www.stoozing.com0 -
Thanks very much for your reply YorkshireBoy. I have been reading quite a few of the articles but I will read further. My circumstances are slightly more complex in that I tried to apply online for a Virgin card (as suggested in the articles) bit having moved house only six months ago the application halted with a request to contact Virgin by phone. I lived at previous address for 18 years but unlike Natwest no request for details was made. As they say, if at first you don't succeed ....0

Just applied for NW online.
Asked for £9000 BT and it errored saying something like 'invalid amount'. so I changed it to £8950 and it didn't error and said application was agreed in principle. Then after the applicationit said that not possible to give instant decision and they would write within 10 days!! Any ideas anyone??0 -
I had the same problem. Someone in another thread said he they were able to put a BT of £15000 in. Not sure what the problem is unless there is a lower limit? Notice in the RBS / nat West conditions they talk abought your advance limit as well your credit limit. I seem to remember that mint had that as well. The advance limit was about 50% of your credit limit.
Anyway I think I will wait for the forms to arrive by post and see what they say.0
