    I’ve updated original post.

If someone can just change the heading to include RBS.

    Thanks in advance.

Mint's 0% intro offer has now been increased to 10 months, I think it was 8 months previously. However they have a BT fee of 2% (max £40), so it's not quite as good.

I believe Mint is also an RBS card. It's nice to see these new offers on the market :D

Just to confirm what I meant:

    * Use the Natwest/RBS/Ulster card for the 9months for a normal BT/Purchases etc.
    * After the 9 month period - use the NatWest card as your "mule"/SBT card for transfering cash from other 0% cards (eg. MBNA).

Egg is used as mule card:

    1) Starts off (Egg = 0, MBNA = 0, Savings=0)
    2) Super balance transfer 10k from egg (Egg = -10,000, MBNA=0, Savings=+10,000)
    3) Balance transfer from MBNA (Egg=0,MBNA=-10,000,Savings=+10,000)

NatWest is used as mule card:

    1) Starts off (NW = 0, MBNA = 0, Savings=0)
    2) Balance transfer 10k from MBNA (NW=+10,000, MBNA=-10,000, Savings=0)
    3) Super balance transfer (cash transfer) from NW (NW=0, MBNA=-10,000, Savings=+10,000)

(You need to do it this way - otherwise NW would charge you interest from day 1).

Obviously - this is no different than doing it with Egg - but it's another weapon for you to use! (And 9 months intro offer is not bad!).

charlie12/YorkshireBoy - Thats correct - the NW card can be used *after* the intro period to move money from other cards without incurring any fees as long as it's put in credit first.

Just handy to know there are other cards capable of transfering real-money(tm) to current accounts - not just Egg (and mbna???).

With Egg's fees and reduced 0% intro period, it looks like these RBS cards are set to become the new Egg!

For info, have been advised that maximum credit limit on Platinum card is £15k.

Having had NW current account for 16+ years (paying around 0.1% interest) I'd hope to be in a good position to get this. Shame the online application website hasn't been working for last couple of hours - suspect it may be a bit busy

Used to be 100k on gold card some years ago but they reduced it when RBS took over Natwest to 50k, where it stands now if I am not mistaken.

I have cards from both of them (unfortunately:() combined credit limit in excess of 76k. So will be getting MINT or waiting for offers on Airmiles and Shell cards.

Same £15k response. When I questioned this, was advised that NatWest Black (for those earning £70k+) starts at £15k with no maximum limit set.
Have asked my friendly Primeline person to delve a bit deeper and see what he can find out

Maybe it is something to do with my premiere current account. Sorry, I did not realise that at first.

Still down for me too - Mint is also down so I assume there's a problem with all/most RBS applications at the moment.
