Hi everyone,
Thanks for all your lovely support!!
So I'm trying to be proactive this month so I've read Martin's guide on reclaim tax back so I've given that a go, also listed some bits and bobs on ebay. I've got a few other bits to list but doing it in stages to make it manageable.
I really want to see if I can make a bit extra this month to put away for getting through the summer hols with DD.LBM Debt at: £47454:eek:Current total 26th Oct 2020 £ 25,808.040 -
So I have had some fantastic news, back in the dark days of struggling to keep my head above water and juggling payments and debt my dad took out a loan for me, I asked the other day if he had had a annual statement recently as I haven't check it since I took it out and at the time was in such a desperate state could not even remember the full amount of the loan!! I am ashamed to say I didn't even know the end date of this loan so was just guessing what I owed, I've just carried on making the payments, Dad found said statement and it ends up I owe a few thousand less than I thought:j:T I was in complete shock and disbelief so I asked him to send me a copy of the statement and have now set an online account up and it turns out its correct it takes my overall debt total from £39,400 to £35580.98!!!! I know I can't believe it, this has brought forward my DFD to just over 4 years!!!!
So my new target is to try and get the total to just under £30,000 by December 25th this year so that I can start 2020 with my total in the 20's, this is going to be tough but I'm determined to give it my best shot!
(Sorry about all the exclamation marks.............as you can tell I'm super happy and excited!)LBM Debt at: £47454:eek:Current total 26th Oct 2020 £ 25,808.040 -

Just read through your diary, what a journey! Fantastic news on the loan being smaller than you realised. Good luck, you’ll be in the £20’s before you know it! X0

Thanks everyone, I’ve woke up feeling the most enthusiastic and happy I have felt in months today!
Off to the cinema today with free tickets I got when I upgraded my bank account and because I pay enough in I don’t pay any fees for the account either. I’ve also set up Save The Change on my account it will go straight into the emergency fund which desperately need replenishing!
Have a lovely weekend everyone!LBM Debt at: £47454:eek:Current total 26th Oct 2020 £ 25,808.040
