Hi @Treadingwater02, I've just read through your diary from the start and you've done such a fantastic job getting to where you are now! Before long, you'll be at the half way mark
Your goal setting really is a great way to approach things. I think i need to do a bit more of that in my life to keep me motivated.

I haven't updated for a while but I have been lurking reading all the other diaries and finding inspiration!
My debt total currently is £27,117.70 not as low as I'd hoped it would be but I've had some issues with the house so I've not managed to overpay any of the debts that aren't included in my DMP. So still only paid up 2 out of the 15 debts I have left but hoping to pay another one up by the end of this month. I'm hoping to get back on track and have my debt under 25k going into 2021 and then next year the plan is to hopefully pay £10,000 off. I'm thinking when I have 'friends & family' debts paid up it will leave me with 8 debts in my DMP and I will go self-managed, I've had some fantastic F&F settlement offers from these offering 70% discounts but unfortunately I do not have the funds available to take advantage of these offers.
.
Good news - I've had a promotion at work, not a huge pay rise but a pay rise never the less and a good pay structure moving forward.
I've been thinking about the future recently and realised that once the debt is paid I need to work on my own financial security, currently I have an interest only mortgage (not sure whats going to happen with the house in the divorce, so ex is currently still on the mortgage and I have no way of buying him out and I can't move as I can't afford to rent.........this one is a wait and see) I also have no pension, so feel I'm leaving myself quite vulnerable, this is something I definitely need to look at especially now I'm the other side of 40.
I am going to start trying to update my diary more often as without my diary debt busting on your own can feel like a lonely place.
