Like anyone else I have got switching confirmation texted to me via text message. But unlike with the experience by people reported here, I did not get confirmation that I will get a double awards.

When you have done switching and meet other criteria, when will the blue rewards will become double. Is it on the month of switching being completed or thereafter ??

I asked a similar question nearly 3 weeks ago, no-one replied.

"I doubt anyone has received this double reward payment as of yet, but does anyone know when it will be added to the wallet?

From their T&C's, (my bold) : - Double/Triple Rewards will be paid into your Barclays Blue Rewards wallet as a separate payment, later in the month than the standard Barclays Blue Rewards you receive."

I have £3.50 in my rewards wallet. Should this not be £7 or is it £3.50 per DD and I have missed a cut off point?

£3.50 per DD for the first 2 DD's

    Loyalty Reward
Receive a £3.50 reward for each of your first 2 Direct Debit payments, up to £7 each month. You’re eligible for this reward if the Direct Debits are successfully paid from your chosen current account.

Ok, only 1DD went out before the cut off it seems. That will explain it. Thanks.

Just looking again, I applied and switched last month under the double rewards for 1 year offer so it should be £7 per DD rather than £3.50?

My switch completed in October and I have only received the standard rewards of £12 (I have a Barclays mortgage), but not yet received the second instalment. So unless there's an issue, I believe they start paying the double/triple rewards in the month following the completed switch.

Have just spoken to Barclays CS and have been told that the standard Blue Rewards are paid around the 02nd of the month, but the Double, (i.e. the extra £7), is paid around the 15th as a separate payment.

From Barclays T&C's , (my bold):

Double Rewards Offer - Terms and Conditions
    1. Receive Double Reward(s) for all rewards earned in October 2018 if you join Barclays Blue Rewards for the first time in October 2018 (between 1st October 2018 and 31st October 2018 (the “Offer Period”)

    2. Double Rewards will be available on all Barclays Blue Rewards which exist at the time of the Offer Period (Loyalty Reward, Mortgage Loyalty Reward, Home Insurance Loyalty Reward, Loan Loyalty Reward, Barclaycard Loyalty Reward and Enhanced Cashback).

    3. The Doubled Reward amount(s) will be paid into your Barclays Blue Rewards wallet in November 2018 as a separate payment, later in the month than the standard Barclays Blue Rewards you receive.

Prior to your reply, I sent them a message asking why it wasnt double and the reply was:

" Upon checking, I can see that you only have one direct debit payment last month which explains why you only received £3.50 for your cashback. Please ensure that you have two direct debit payments every month to receive £7.00 for the cashback plus another £7.00 for the double rewards. "

My understanding from the T&C is that to earn Barclays Blue Rewards, you must do two things each calendar month

    - Pay in £800.
    - You must pay the the £3 fee

Also that it is that it is £3.50 (£7 if doubled) for Direct Debit 1 and £3.50 (£7 if doubled) for Direct Debit 2 that leaves the account.

As only 1 Direct Debit left the account within a calendar month then 1 payment is to be expected but it should be double as per the T&C as I have met the criteria for blue rewards for the month - the fact that it has paid £3.50 into my account also backs this up.

Or have I understood it wrong? Either way, lets see what appears around the middle of the month.

If only one DD paid out in your first month, you will get the £3.50 normal payment then an extra £3.50 mid-month bonus on that one DD. If next month both DDs pay out it'll be £7 normal and £7 bonus. This is what happened to me when I set it up in the same way earlier this year.

Also don't panic and call them if the extra payment isn't in there on exactly 15th. It isn't a set date. Over the last few months my extra payment has come in on 17th, 14th, 11th (early surprise!), 16th. I would generally look for it around 15th but only really expect it to have arrived by 20th, so don't bother calling until then.
