Risk of court/CCJ but UNFAIR

The pub is likely to find that CEL want them to pay the £200 so don't stop doing a defence or following the court instruction. Waiting for the pub to "sort" it is a surefire way of getting a default CCJ - irrespective of how well meaning they are.

CEL just string them along until you get trapped in the court system.

ANOTHER UPDATE:
Pub has spoken to the parking company, what the pub has said to me is the parking company have admitted I was on the system but 1 letter in my reg was different and so it wasnt picked up on the system and so I am to send the claim form back with Defence, and when the papers are then sent back to the parking company, the case will be dropped.

Sounds more like the Pub has realised they messed up and settled it for me and i am to send the forms back to end the court side of it?
Ive asked for an email from the parking company though to confirm it will be dropped etc before i send anything back

I would be checking on MCOL to see the case discontinued before I believed them.

OP, have you done the AoS yet?

Do that and press on with your Defence until you have confirmation from the Court that the case is discontinued.

You need a Notice of Discontinuance from CEL. Until you or the court gets that don't miss the timings.

I filed my defence for this on 23/10/2018. No reply, heard nothing, thought great its been dropped.
on the 02/01/2019 (over 2 months later!!), they have sent a DQ? Directions Questionnaire regarding a small claims court? Wow, as if they are still pushing.
In the papers, it talks about a mediation service, or a small claims hearing? Anyone able to shed some light as to what I should do, and why this has happened/what it means?

Unbelievable!!!! another example of how scummy the scammers are and how they just don't give a toss.


I would raise hell at the pub and even threaten them with civil action over the scammer continuing this claim if you have written proof they said it was being cancelled.


Failing that you will have to go through the court process and hopefully kick their asses into next year.

How can i go about sending my own DQ out? Can I send them one from myself? I am going to reply to this one and ask about the mediation service so I can try and get hold of them and talk to them directly myself as so far theyve been pretty useless with me and only really talk to the pub but what they seem to tell the pub, doesnt seem to be happening.
I have read the newbies section but find it confusing and really dont understand whats what
