  • I had that email from Valued Opinions too. I was wary of accepting the cookie, but I saw that you could remove it and I saw that you could also write to someone to stop the cookie from ever being transferred to your computer. So I accepted the next survey, deleted the cookie and went to write a letter... but I couldn't. As soon as I wrote 'Dear Sir/Madam,' and pressed enter, Word shut down and wouldn't allow me to get online to solve the problem. Ever since, I have not been able to write 'Dear Sir/Madam,' without Word shutting down. My ability to connect to websites has also become dodgy. It could all be a coincidence of course, but related or not, I am definitely having problems... anyone else experienced anything like this after clicking through to a Valued Opinions survey?

No, I've done several VO surveys since and have had no problems with Word.
Yeah, whatever. I'm a grown up, I can take it...
  • I only seem to have problems when I write 'Dear Sir/Madam,' though (and press enter) - I've used Word a lot for other things and haven't had any problems. Can you write 'Dear Sir/Madam,' without it shutting down? I know it's a weird problem!

Sorry, I know this is probably wrong place to post, but does anyone have the link for the drinks diary run by valued opinions. I accidentally deleted my link a couple of weeks ago and have not had a reminder sent in the meantime. I know the password but need the link. Thanks

I got an email from VO this morning saying they are putting a tracking cookie on our computers when we next log in.

Does anyone know is this a form of spyware?
Many websites have used and still use cookies when you go to them, including this one. It's through cookies that websites know when you last visited, where you went, etc. It's nothing to worry about. VO is a reputable company.

ive just done a survey for valued opinions about my car, it took me nine minutes and after asking loads of questions i got screened out it seems to take longer and longer to get screened out, surely they could screen out earlier, with global market they only ask 3 or 4 questions before qualifying or not and at least you get 5 points when you dont qualify has anyone else had this problem

I've been screened out of a valued opinions survey when I was 20 minutes (and 90%) into it. Annoyed the hell out of me. Only place that has done that to me.

thats ridiculous 20 minutes is a long time and deserves being paid for, i once emailed isabel about it and she tried to justify it by saying "when youve been screened out we dont use the information that you have given us" i dont believe that because why would they let us get so far if they werent going to use it, there wouldnt be any point

I used to use this site but like others I often spent a lot of time to be told I didn't qualify, eventually I decided that I had better things to do with my time.
