Okay I accept is it more of a business but its is being sold like that? I bet in some cases people are doing it with high expectations, but alas that isn't always the case

Good observation Poppycat its promoted as a way to earn an extra income around existing commitments. If it was promoted as a Business many people who join now and do a little and then quit wouldn't join, the sales would drop and where would the Company be then? Its a way to keep a constant turnover of distributors, some who will do a little, some will do okay until they realise how little they are actually earning for the effort and expenses and some of those will quit, others will be "sold" the Business side and up their retail and start team building. Once you have started investing more time and money into building your Biz most people feel that success is just round the corner if they just keep going and yes for a few they will be "lucky" and find a star.

"Make your own luck" is a phrase thrown around a lot so encourages people to do more activity and invest more whether its retail or team building activities. People get to a point where they are scared to step off the threadmill because they have invested so much time and effort and in some cases money and time with your family is something you can't get back

  • I have tried Kleeneze and, after working my butt of for months, I worked out my actual hourly rate - 98p! I now REALLY work for myself and work very hard but have real & growing income. The thing is that if I showed you how much I received last month from customers, you would think I must be very rich - that is UNTIL I showed you how much my outgoings were. But Kleeneze people DO only show you their gross income. £4,000 a month isn't much good if you spend £3,000 in advertising, petrol, catalogues etc. etc. and work for 60 hours a week. I have yet to hear of any of these Kleeneze types showing potential recruits, or anyone else, their annual accounts to disclose their bottom line? I deliver my product to customers and there is often a Kleeneze catalogue at the door, I must have stooped down to look at thousands out of interest and I rarely see an order in any of them.

The problem is the people who do it with high expectations but low work ethic...

I think you are very rude.

I have only been doing Kleeneze for a week now, so far 3 people have told me that they don't want a catalogue next time. I have taken them off my list and will not go back to them as I respect their right to say no.

But if they hadn't told me then I would have kept going back. How do you expect them to know if you just keep putting their books in the bin? As far as i'm concerned I don't want to give catalogues, which I have to pay for, to people who are not going to order. Perhaps next time you should have a bit of common courtesy and tell them.

    Anyway,

I have completed my first week of Kleeneze and put in my first order. I put out 130 catalogues and got £156 worth of orders. It will be difficult to make more than that because I don't drive so i'm running out of places to deliver. Will need to get my hubby to take me futher a field.

Thats a good start and you are hitting the quoted average of £1 a book, i used to find this time of year with the Xmas book helped, in fact we were told that the Jan - August was just preparation work, establishing customer base and building your reputation for the Xmas run Aug - December.

Admittedly in some cases if you don't get a book back its a genuine reason so i can see why people are advised to put another one through next time BUT in my 5 years experience its so few that is the case, its usually because they are so fed up and have binned it so i wouldn't bother if you don't get it back especially if the training is still the same, go out if not out leave a slip, call back if still not out leave another slip and try to speak to someone. If its not out after 3 attempts don't leave another - they obviously don't want it.

  • Pollypickle says that "many new businesses don't expect to make a profit in the first 2 years". WHAT??? If a SMALL business is not turning a profit by the end of the first year, then it is definitely time to move on. No bank would support a business that failed to 'turn the corner' by the end of year 1.

I done Kleenze a few years ago and the others are right, you make what you put in. The person who recruited me though made it seem really easy and I'm sure that is why a lot of people have high expectations!
My problem with the company is how heartless they are. I had a car crash while I was delivering products and the car got completely written off. All the products were unsaleable. I was off work for months and wrote everyone I owed money to explaing my situation and that I was going to make a small payment until I was back on my feet. M&S who I owed 20K to accepted, as did Barclays.

Kleeneze however, took me to court and I ended up with a CCJ because they wanted more money than what I was offering. The joke was, once it went to court, I ended up paying LESS!
So just remember that they are heartless and if anything happens you're on your own.
Getting there... A deal at a time. :T
  • Hi, Just wanted to add my imput on this. I have had my Kleeneze business for some 10years now and earn £4,000+ per 4 weeks working it on a very part time basis around 15 hours per week. I used to be a prison officer working 40 hours a week for some £18,000 per year!
Kleeneze does work-it's like life really, if you dont work hard at anything you will not get anywhere! If you listern to negative people then you will also be negative. I work with possitive like minded people now who just want to make money. If I had listerned to my exprison officer colleges I would still be working with them!
The bottom line to this is-why work for someone else to make them rich when you can work for yourself to make yourself rich- now that makes sence to me!
