Is this currently misbehaving for anyone else? I tried logging in earlier with what I know for absolute certain to be the password, telling me it's wrong. I have tried resetting and no emails have been forthcoming. Wondered if it was down or something.0

I'm not sure which one it was before but tried again with Marcus.co.uk and it let me log in but sending a phone code. So maybe it was the US one before! Thanks for the tip.0

I have just opened a Marcus account and was surprised how easy it was. Not having opened a new account for quite a few years, is this the norm? They never asked for proof of id or address.
Within 10 mins i was allowed to deposit quite a large sum.0 -

You can view this in your credit report although searches can take a few days to appear on your report. The Equifax report can be accessed free of charge via Clearscore. The reference on my report was Identity Verification Tracesmart goldmansachsinternati0 -
Just wondered how long it normally takes to open an account with them...
I attempted yest morning but still says that they are processing the info... Just wondered if everyone’s only took ten mins as above or if I should give them a call?
Thank you0 -
I have had a very good experience with Marcus.
Very easy to open an account. The money I transfer into Marcus from my current account also transferred over within minutes.

Thank you
I have heard people reporting back all kind of time frames. I got mine sorted within a day, if I remember correctly. But then for some people it can take up to a month I believe, from what I have read on forums.
Maybe give it some time, and try and contact them if not.

I opened one of these on 1st October and it was easy enough to set up.
I've now got just over 1k saved in it having paid in £250 per 4 weeks (as I'm paid 4 weekly).
The interest is paid every calendar month starting exactly one month after the account is opened and as others have said it seems to be credited just before midnight (weekends included) on the given day.
I don't know about issues withdrawing from it as I've not needed to so far but I've saved money here as it is instant access in case I need it.
I have got other higher interest savings accounts where the money is locked in (a couple of regular saver accounts totaling 3k).
All in all I think its worth a shot and definitely worth it for someone who wants to save but who may need to get their hands on the cash immediately should the need arise. :T
Having said that if after a year the loss of the bonus means a better rate is available elsewhere I will take Martin's advice and switch and ditch.0 -
