I agree with Lilith - 4.2miles is still a good, long run!

Hope you had a great time in Dublin at the weekend.

Thank you - 4.2 miles is amazing for me but probably short for others :o.

Lilith - it's my IT band that has stopped me running distances for years and I've done everything to fix it but nothing has ever worked long term.

I'm back into work today, after my weekend away. I had such a ball and it was fun and I actually learned things to do with my volunteering. I might of had a bit too much of the old vino on the Friday night but didn't disgrace myself.

I'm secretly glad to be back into work today to get my routine back.

Finance - my new account (Monzo) allows me to participate in the 1p challenge and I have just set that up automatically today. Not looking forward to Dec when about £114 has to go across to savings but by then I should have that covered by my salary increase.

Health - diet hit the skids over the weekend and today is probably the first day I think I'm back to normal. I know I need to drink more water to keep the hunger at bay but I'm quite a lazy person.

I'm going to the cinema tonight to watch Endgame - not that fussed but it will keep the nephews happy :)

I think as you were away at the weekend having a good time it doesn't matter too much about the diet. You are obviously back on the straight and narrow now.

    Have a good week!

It will be much easier to get back to the healthy eating when you're in your normal routine. I enjoy my normal healthy eating routine, but it's impossible to eat healthily when you're away.

    Morning

I got on scales and I have +1lb on:(. I meal prepped last night and today is a new day.

No exciting plans today but having pizza & cake tonight for sisters birthday (in calories budget).

Tomorrow I’m away out with friends for another birthday. I have to count transport, meal & drinks and must not spend money in shops. Sunday is my run and Monday is probably going to be a day in the garden.

Week ahead - my Mum is going on holiday from Wed and I will take a few days leave to help my sister. I have 3 flexi days built up so I can take leave and it doesn’t affect normal leave.

Money - today’s spends will be on diesel. Hoping to spend about £60 tmw but a day out with the girls soon adds up.

    Time to hit the road.

Try not to worry about putting a 1lb on. Get back to your routine and it'll come off. Weight can fluctuate a lot so as long as the general trend is downwards you'll be fine.

Good luck with your run today :D

    Morning,

I had a lovely weekend and the run went well but I don't know if you heard but the organisers made a mistake on the distance and runners had to go an extra 0.3/0.4 of a mile. Not good for the marathoners but thankfully I was only doing the relay. My distance when I signed up was 3.9 miles and just before race day it had changed to 4.2 miles. I ended up running 4.62 miles as the measurements were up the left. Knee a bit tender now but settling down ok. I loved the run and the new course and it being on a Sunday is so much better.

I also went to Derry on the Saturday with the girlies and spent about £50 on the bus, lunch out and drinks. I didn't spend any money on shopping - v v pleased.

I have also booked a family holiday to Spain, well I've sorted out the hotel and it needs paid by 28 July. I had a few queries with the hotel and once they are confirmed then I will book flights. I am still planning my big dream holiday in November but will wait and see if the travel ban is lifted for Sri Lanka. It means Spain could be it this year.

My Mum is away on holiday from today and I have a list of chores I want to get done during my leave. I'm putting a list here so that I manage to get it all done -
    • [STRIKE]Tidy Kitchen[/STRIKE] (properly scrub out cupboards etc)
    • [STRIKE]Clean entire house[/STRIKE]
    • [STRIKE]Sort out wardrobe and recycle clothes that don't fit or I haven't worn in ages[/STRIKE]
    • [STRIKE]Weed garden[/STRIKE]
    • [STRIKE]Cut hedges
      [/STRIKE]
    • [STRIKE]Strim lane.
      [/STRIKE]

Well done on the run! :D I remember I did a 10k years ago and they got the route wrong and ended up shaving quite a bit off the actual distance so no wonder we did it quicker than we thought!

Spain sounds good...I really need to get away somewhere where's there guaranteed sunshine!

Hi Lilith - that happened to me recently in a 5k - really pleased with my time then I realised it wasn't a full 5k....but I'm still keeping that time :)

Weighed myself this morning and I have hit a plateau - no up or down and it's getting a bit frustrating but I know that I haven't been 100% and need to try and focus. I have lots of gardening plans this weekend so that will burn up some calories.

Money front - doing ok. I tapped into my Zopa savings pot to pay for my Spain holiday. I did have the option of putting it on a 0% credit card but I would rather just pay and not have more debt. I now have to put money aside for spends. We are going all inclusive so that should keep costs down. We are planning a day in Barcelona ..well sis is doing all the planning and it is really nice to have someone else being the organiser (it always fell to me when I was with ex OH, so it nice to share the pain).

Plans today - drag nephew out of bed and take him to school (that will not be fun as he is not a morning person).

Nephew no 2 stayed over last night, he is so sweet and thought I would be lonely on my own :D. On my way home last night from work sister rang and asked if it was ok. I then a got a call from my cousin who just happened to have lots of leftover food from a confirmation and for me to pop next door and pick it up. I wonder who will be bringing me food today :D

Well done on your run Munchin!:j. And for going that bit further.

I've been rather like you in that my weight loss plans have been seesawing lately. I lost some last week because of my tummy bug but I haven't been 100% good this week as I've had a few really busy days in work and I tend to eat more junk.:(. The gardening this weekend should help you burn a few calories though.

Your Spain holiday sounds just the ticket. Hopefully Sri Lanka will lose its travel ban soon.

    Have a good weekend!
