I really can't see why the OP is so concerned - she wont need to worry after next March when the world stops turning.

After reading all the stuff about Brexit I reckon that those of us are us who are left after all the dire things that are going befall us next March will be living in mud huts again.

Leccy, mobile phones and any other technology will be a thing of the past and we'll all be hunter gatherers and scavengers again.

Glad that you got your flu jab Hengus because from what I hear we wont be getting any more medication after next year either, so it'll be down to growing your own.

FAKE NEWS!...if that was true then Professor Brian Cox would have made a documentary about it by now.

Well it's not conjecture when every time you post it backs up my point by showing that your not interested in the facts, and you will stick to your opinion based on these incorrect facts no matter what.

Your original post suggested your main concern was the negatives effects of the smart meters emissions. But this isn't true because you have no interest in posts that point out how wrong you are.

I've just re-read your orignial post and realised you said this:

    :rotfl:

Yea that phrase doesn't really work when your on a forum... ;)

    Yes well, YOUR facts.

"The World Health Organization's International Agency for Research on Cancer Classified Radiofrequency Fields as Possibly Carcinogenic to Humans on May 31, 2011."

This fact means nothing to you obviously. The WHO are obviously not just any old Mickey Mouse style outfit.

The only "fact" is that there is plent of evidence to support both sides of the argument. I have had countless clients ask me the same questions regarding Wi-Fi routers and access points etc etc, and my answer is - I don't know - but I prefer to keep my options open considering there just isn't enough supporting evidence to conclusively say that RF radiation is completely safe or not - surely that is just common sense.

It's also a fact that you just like to be plain rude - what a keeper you are! And as for a turn of phrase not working on a forum - please, get a grip!

Anyway, I'm done with this, good luck spouting off your bile.

If you read my posts again you will see I said that you were wrong about the signal being "always on" when in reality it only sends out a signal briefly when sending a reading (which will be set at once a day according to your opening post).
This is a fact and you were wrong. My posts may come across as rude but atleast they are relevant and explain the points I'm making, your posts to me just consist of silly phrases saying I'm talking rubbish :rotfl: .

If your that concerned about electromagnetic radiation then you must have no mobile phones, routers or anything else in your home that emits this. If you do have any of these devices then you really need to accept the fact your just using this as an excuse simply because you don't want a smart meter for no logical reason.

There certainly are "logical " reasons why many , not the majority ,of occupiers do not want a smart meter.
Detailed here in this link. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-25718447
Take note of the section in the video where British Gas Revenue Protection (BG RPU ) had permission to enter and inspect 20 properties in Dundas Rd Sheffield after a gas explosion which destroyed a property and the neighbouring house.
Seven out of twenty properties inspected by BG RPU Officers in Dundas Rd Sheffield were found to be extracting free energy by either bypassing the gas or electric meters.
This shocked the hard bitten BG RPU men with the extent of this activity in just one terraced street in Sheffield
Smart meters will end their free energy so of course those who are engaged in this activity will oppose and reject smart meters for as long as possible.
This has nothing to do with the OP s problem but as an insider I d like to highlight just why smart meters are not likely to be welcomed in Dundas Rd Sheffield and hundreds of thousands of other properties in the UK

I'm not taking sides on this argument and doubt that the OP will be back now, as they haven't received the answer that they wanted but technically it is actually you who is wrong on this point about this device only transmitting once per day.

If you understood how GSM works, you would know that while the traffic channel may only be used once per day to transmit the solar generation data, the control channel does maintain regular contact (usually via the nearest base station but not always) to the mobile switching centre to maintain it's associated databases, monitoring and adjusting the mobile signal power level required to maintain a clear signal to the base station in use etc. etc.

Put a mobile next to your speakers and you will hear regular data bursts back to base or try reading the GSM specification but stick to factual information.
  • Just sent away the chap sent to install smart meters in our home. A family member decided that heath risks outweighed the meter. Telegraph/American a Cancer Society have articles regarding RF radiation emitted from smart meters - just going through these now. I’ve had to go with the majority in the house and now pay up my cancellation fee and no doubt be put on a higher tariff with my current supplier as the lower tariff was reliant on having a smart meter fitted. Not enough information/evidence out there, didn’t see any related info on MSE (sorry). Could we try and get a more balanced view.

The more balanced tin foil hat brigade balanced point of view you mean. I do hope you don't have wi-fi or use mobile phones or cook with a microwave or have energy saving light light bulbs or in fact almost any electronic device.
