Thank you so much for this. All your advice's are a welcome relief and reassurance. The lease says nothing more than that £40 per month will be added to my overall rent. This £40 is for parking. Nothing more is said on the lease apart from that.
I shall call the people in charge of the parking complex and speak to my area manager who looks after the studios I live in.
The only thing that is stressing is that I had no appealed AT ALL and did not do anything but sit on this. This is why i am worried it will come back to bite me.
thank you so much0 -

I'm sorry your going through a tough time at the moment and you certainly don't deserve to be getting hassled off the parking scammers but you are where you are.
Take your time and read through the newbies thread, do it steadily, there you will find out that POPLA is not open to you as these scammers are not in the BPA, they have their own 'FLAWED' appeal system called the IAS.
In relation to money, they are limited to what they can legally claim in the small claims court, they certainly cannot claim fake add on debt collector fees, they know this but they wont tell you because they have no morals, they rely on people allowing themselves to be bullied into paying.
The good news, you Definitely have a defence you PAY for parking already via a permit, just because someone says you owe them money doesn't mean you actually do, unfortunately the parking scammers will lie, threaten and cheat into making you believe you have done wrong and you should pay, YOU HAVENT DONE WRONG!!!! but you MAY!!!! have to prove you haven't done wrong, this is where the posters on here will help, they will blow VCS out of the water.
This will only be achieved however if you listen, learn and do what's asked of you, learn more about the game your now firmly involved in and get playing.
Thank you guys so much.
I'll start re-reading the sticky newbie thread again as you said.
When you say that I have a defence because I technically am paying for the parking complex and hence can park in it, so I need to write something up or do anything now or just wait until the letters escalate to a CCJ?
Thanks guys0 -

Thanks guys
FIXED THAT FOR YOU
Only a fool would let it escalate to a CCJ
EVERYBODY HAS A DEFENCE, but only a judge can decide0 -

I am assuming that IF the VCS do go that route, do i need to go to the court which could be in any city in the UK? I'm just curious as that would also cost an arm and leg to travel to.
Thank you again so much
fixed that for you to
you will be asking for your local county court if it gets to an MCOL (so the nearest suitable court to your location)0 -
So there you go definitely no need to panic, the people on here are experts in dealing with parking scammers and providing you do your part (read, learn and listen) you'll be fine.
Nothing is guaranteed regarding:
A, whether they take you to court or not
B, you may win, you may lose (but 99% of the time you will win)
And finally and this is guaranteed you will not get a CCJ providing you follow any court orders.0 -
Thank you guys so much. Sorry for the typos. Yes i meant VCS.
But what do I do in the mean time apart from speak to the parking complex managers and my area manager for my studio?
Is there anything else I need to do in parallel to this? I'm only asked because worst case it probably won't get cancelled knowing VCS.
Thanks again all0 -

Thank you for the reply. When you say court orders I am assuming follow the guidance of what the courts have to say before it gets to CCJ. I'm such a newb and novice. I'll keep reading and studying this area.0 -
Well VCS are one of the many that do court but don't let that scare you, that's what they want, they thrive on peoples misery, parasites I suppose
Yes do everything you can to get the managers to cancel it, we often hear that these so called 'managers' cant do anything, out of their hands etc BUT its not, find out more about the contract and find out who has the power to cancel.0 -

Well sort of, have a read of the court claim process in the newbies section, its all there, you then wont need to be asking all these questions which have been answered a thousand times.
In answer to your question though If you go to court, lose and are ordered to pay the claimant within 30 days (which is about normal) only then do you pay then its over, NO CCJ, NO NOTHING FURTHER!!!0
