    Good morning lovely Turtles,

Organise-- Im off to my parents today so not a great deal I can get done.
Regular budget-- still £130 left, I can easily feed us for £50 a week so I just need to spend less than £30 this week, even less preferably.
NSDs- hoping today is 4. Mummy will feed us & I've packed milk etc for the bubbas.
Improvise- my son has a reward chart & was due a reward so I took something from my gift cupboard & he loves it. Hurrah. I used to let him chose but he buys utter tat & its usually expensive so now I choose his gift.
    Exercise- probably none :(
Chrustmas- be looking at Mums Studio mag.
    Banned- no take aways :j

I saw the giant puppets on tv this morning and so want to go and see them mothernerd I have puppet envy

When we moved house we needed a fridge freezer - I took the kids off on tour, and DH had one job to do. One single job. Who knew he had never bought a fridge freezer before? Who knew he did not know they come in different sizes?. So he bought one he considered a bargain, but when it arrived, it had obviously shrunk in the wash. He actually said 'It looked bigger online'. It is not big enough for the 6 of us. So I have freezer envy too.

Also fear I may have late onset post-natal depression - is 8 years post-partum too long to claim that? My goodness my kids are being horrid right now.
Shouty ranty self obsessed tantrums, so after being told I am the worst mum in the universe (sadly no award ceremony) about a million times in the last 4 days I am quite happy 2 of them are at a film night (sadistically paid for by me) after their football practice (a human rights atrocity), and I don't have to pick them up until 6.30.
I was accused of torture last night for handing him a flannel and asking him to wash his face! The fruit, jelly, and ice cream was probably recorded as a hate crime. They make no sense when they are tired and grumpy. I think they really need this half term holiday. Only 5 more school days to go..... (gulp)

Still on NSD3, going to buy some bits today, will need petrol soon as well, so might as well double up. Have managed to clear two whole drawers of the freezer, so will stock up on bread and see how long I can manage without spending from Sun - Sun. Which means I will have to pin DS2 down about his food tech, as he has not made anything this week which means he is going to surprise me with his list of demands when he remembers. Usually the night before.

So, having a bad day, not as bad as DH this morning who asked the kids why they were in school uniform on a Saturday. Academically brilliant, no idea what day it is.

Strangely glad it's not just me and my kids then :mad:. Especially the 4 year old drives me crazy just now. Or the 7 year old; mummy why are you shouting again, BECAUSE YOU DIDN'T HEAR THE FIRST 5 TIMES I SAID IT IN A NORMAL VOICE.

Judging by your youngest being 8, I still have years and years of that ahead of me :eek:.

Sorry, not a fakeb00k mum. My kids can be lovely, but also horrid.

As soon as they hit 14 it is like having a hungry poltergeist - rarely seen outside their bedrooms, but things move, and food disappears - it is spooky!

That was actually one of the reasons I quit Facebook. Couldn't keep up pretending my kids were lovely (which they can be btw) and had enough of all them "perfect" mummies and kids. I could be surprisingly honest on FB and people just took it the wrong way. You should read the book "why mummy drinks". Hilariously honest.

    Hello!
I’m excited to start a new month as last was a bit crazy for me with starting a new job. I feel much more settled now. This week I have felt a little under the weather but now starting to feel good again (mostly as a result of not drinking too much and having a lie in this morning)

I am going to have a “damp” October, as it is a bank holiday here in Madrid next week I may drink one night. But I really want to be sober for the rest of October. I just think my body needs a break. It’s so hard not to drink here as the booze is so cheap (well, relatively to London!!) but I am determined.

Organise: My household has been living off party food leftovers for almost a week now…cake and cheese mostly, so not much money spent but not exactly healthy either!!

Regular budget items should be set by 1st October. I have a really strict budget until 17 Oct which is payday. I have only 80 euros in my bank account  I only need 12 for my metro pass, and 40 for food shopping. Anything else is unnecessary!

No Spend Days. Aiming for 15 as only managed 5 last month.

Improvise. Make do and mend with a creative twist. The strap of my work handbag is fraying, housemate had the bright idea to tape it up with black sparkly gift tape and tie a ribbon on it. Ha ha So will try to give that a go.

Exercise going to walk home from work as much as possible now the weather is cooling here in Madrid

Christmas I say this every year, but going to try to make some craft items rather than buying lots this year. Will probably go for photos in hand decorated frames.

Finally Don't Be A Martyr For Christmas OK!

Banned Takeaways Definitely up for this! Me and my housemates are making homemade pizzas and staying in tonight.

Extra Income or Extra time for the time poor At the moment I have Fridays off work, but I teach for 9 solid hours each day Mon-Thurs and Friday is usually spent planning classes. I am going to try to do the odd survey to build up a little christmas fund (currently have £6 only)

    Report in, OK!!

Thrifty & F0xh0les you should follow hurray for gin its hilarious. and definitely a pretty accurate take on my life!! X
  • Thrifty - I have milk and bread in, it's just fresh stuff I'm worried about. We are going to a baby group on Tuesday but I get that free because I have vouchers :) Will top the car up with fuel over the weekend so I shouldn't have to spend anything. And curious to see how long I can go!

I know what you mean about the FB mummies too, I must admit I do post photos of my son saying how cute he is etc. but I also post the photos of him after he has decided to draw all over his face! and write status about how he decided to poo all over my bed!

I have got a cough on the way so hoping that doesn't play me up as just got over a tummy bug and a cold!!

Challenge - Had raspberries and a banana on my porridge this morning, salad and ham wrap for lunch and having stir fry noddles for dinner so pretty sure I've got my 5 in there!
Organise - Took snack and drink to work with me now. Trying to get into the habbit of taking my drinks bottle with me everywhere so I don't buy fizzy. I have also decided to try and cut my fizzy drinks down too.
No Spend Days - Second one today :D 2/15
Improvise. Make do and mend with a creative twist - None today
Exercise Four times a week at least - None today been at work.
Christmas - Will wrap them bits I got yesterday and update the list.
Banned Takeaways, coffee shops, chippys, pie shops, vending machines, sandwich bars etc. - Have been slightly tempted but none :D
Extra Income or Extra time for the time poor - Had a bath last night so had some time to myself. Did all the washing up this morning so I will have some more me time when I get home later after putting my son to bed.
    Report in - Hello!

Fairly good day today :D seen the circus is in town so might have to take my son (he loved all the lights and music last time) it's not too expensive either and think he will get in free as he isn't 2 yet.

    C xx
