New cpu advice

Won't bother with ssd so going for more storage for future games and leaving the 1tb installed as it is..
There's been a few games he wants and the cpu is just under the min spec.
A new gpu is out of the question at the moment haha 1050ti seems to be suitable at the moment I've seen the prices of 1070's and 1080"s

So after all of that you didn't follow any of the advice.
The SSD will improve performance noticeably. A larger HDD will do nothing. It's just very old technology and now you are not even spending the £55 on a new CPU.
It was all a horrible waste of time.

No not At all haha. I've defo got some great advice and guidance and as he's spending his pocket money (he's 13) and wants to learn about pc building Start with something like this and with Xmas I know what I can buy him. To be honest I did forget about the ssd (I've added so many responses to this thread 😂) I've spoken to the wife (boss) and I'm going to order a new cpu for him anyway the 8300. Birthday also coming up.
I don't feel youve wasted time mate really appreciate the guidance into a territory I don't know anything about especially the difference in cpus.

Though do get an SSD. Even if it's just a smaller capacity one for the time being. He will really appreciate the difference in day to day computing. PC will start up in seconds. Samsung EVO 860 EVO around £55.
Once you have one, you'll never tolerate an HDD as a main drive again.

Just been scouting hukd and Samsung evo 860 250gb is £48 from Amazon France but I can't work out how to get that exchange rate.
Looking through Amazon seen this Western Digital WDS240G2G0A WD 240 GB Internal SSD 2.5 Inch SATA, Green https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B076Y374ZH/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_CF4RBbN15V0MV for £35.
He didn't get the ram after so I've lent him the money for the cpu now. 8300 for £55 I'll order it in a bit.

You would need a card that doesn't charge forex fees, of which there are many. But do you have one? Halifax Clarity, for example.

Instead of the 250 GB for £49, I would go for the 500 GB for £71. Keep it for the Christmas present. But you'll need to order it within the hour to get the 10 euros off.

Approx 75 euros plus around 5 euros for postage.

Samsung are usually considered the best all rounders, but he'll note a big difference with any SSD.

I have a revult account but my bank charges 2% which would be about £3
