Does anyone on here have a tidy house..?

My house is "so-so" at the minute. I moved house 3 weeks ago and still have a couple of boxes left to unpack.
Generally I like my house to be tidy, there is a difference between a untidy house and a dirty house. I think it doesnt really matter if its untidy as long as its clean tbh.
I like a clean and tidy house but thats just me, my friend have a 2 year old and its never tidy but I dont ever think anything of it.
The cause of most of my mess is........
I am sure he waits til i have vacc'd then he will dive in his food dish and throw his food everywhere!!!!

We have major house-cleaning issues. I'm a complete and utter perfectionist, and must have a place for everything, and I hate living in a mess. But I do 90% of the time!
It boils down to nothing at all except pure laziness. Instead of sitting here all morning, I could have done so much around the house. But I can't be ar*ed!
But thanks to this thread, I'm going to go through and clean the kitchen. Lounge is a disaster zone with train tracks covering every inch of floor so that's a lost cause for a while, but there's nothing stopping me from cleaning the rest. It isn't even that bad - I'm just too lazy and lacking motivation to go and sort it out!0 -

My house is a mess, but I hate housework. I spend too much time on the computer, and could do more around the house, but all I can think of is debt, spreadsheets and budgets, quidco and money!!! It drives me wild. I think I need to limit myself to how much time I spend on here.
BUT with 3 kids in a tiny 2 bed house, even if I never came online, my house would never be spotlessly tidy anyway.Olympic Countdown Challenge #145 ~ DFW Nerd #389 ~ Debt Free Date: [STRIKE]December 2015[/STRIKE] September 2015

..... and on that note, I now feel really lazy, so I am going to do some tidying before I have to pick the kids up.Olympic Countdown Challenge #145 ~ DFW Nerd #389 ~ Debt Free Date: [STRIKE]December 2015[/STRIKE] September 2015

My room is pretty tid, living out of a suitcase in another country mean there was a distinct limit on crap I could bring with me!
However I still have the temptation of wanting to buy *pretty* stuff from Ikea to decorate with, but again, can't take it home.
Very MSE and houseproud...but I still spend too much time on here teehee .... felt like I'd lost an arm when MSE was done a while back!...I like my coffee black, just like my metal!

This thread intrigued me! I have serious obsessional issues with having a tidy house - and knowing what other people's houses are like too! How nosy am I?

Before I met fiancé my friends used to take the serious !!!! out of me for being so anal about my flat. Then I met my fiancé who is the complete opposite to me and I went and fell in love with him didn't I? We bought a house together.
All my mates were like: "This is never going to work!" after my tales of him slopping beer, gravy, red wine over the carpet.....spilling orange juice all over my pc and down the wall (how did he manage that??) and leaving clothes everywhere....that's just for starters.
Suffice to say there's had to be some compromise otherwise
a) I would have had a breakdown by now
b) He would have shoved a j-cloth in my gob to shut me up
But house is mostly clean & tidy and yet has a comfy, lived in feel. Luckily he's got a room all to himself for all his junk - errr, treasures - so that helps immensely.Bank Balance: In the black for the moment.

If you're on this board a lot, is your house tidy and if so, how the hell do you manage it?
