  • House is a mess and it stresses me out no end. The one thing I can't stand is a mess. About 3 or 4 years ago, my life was so well organised, I went to the gym 6 days a week, everything was always clean, and now it's all gone to pot! 22.40 on a Sunday evening, and I still have loads of cleaning to do. ARGHHHH!!! I'm going to end up taking a day off work just to get this place clean. How depressing.
Almost debt-free, but certainly even with the Banks!

Aw, it's a bummer when you have to spend your day off cleaning. That's why I'd like to get on top of it. My thought is if I can get organised enough to do a bit of it morning and evening then weekends would be pretty much free.

Think I'm going to get off to bed with flylady now. :rotfl:

  • Superpup - I sometimes purposely invite people round so that I have to tidy up. Once a year I have friends round for a BBQ as it means I have to tiday the garden (didnt do this year though coz had a baby instead)
I also think that what I define as tidy is different to everyone else, when my house is "spotless" my cousin would think it was still a mess!I have just looked on flylady website, I already do someof the things, might think about doing it properly.

  • It varies according to how busy we are. It has been quite messy since the summer but I've had a bit of a declutter recently and it looks a bit better now.

Some rooms are better than others. The hall is always tidy because I can't bear anything in the hall, it has to be completely empty to allow free traffic flow.

The living room has a tidy quite often as we can't relax in there if it is a mess, but the dining room, kids rooms, and attic bedroom are a TOTAL MESS at the moment. The kids won't give anything away, even if it is too young for them, and they just don't have enough storage space for their stuff.

But I don't have time to sort it all out, as we are busy working most of the time. I would love more time to do housework and more time to spend on here, but both seem a luxury sometimes when work takes so much time!

I live with my Mum and we split the housework... But I still struggle!! I've tried Flylady and really haven't got very far... In fact I failed at shining the sink!!

I also hate wasting my weekend cleaning! I also struggle at work, I spend far to much time here!

My house is not a pigsty but its definately a bit messy. Since having kids I never seem to be able to keep on top of things.

Saying that I do spend far too much time online. Maybe I should set myself a timetable of when to clean and when to be online mmmmmmmmmmm its a tricky one.
