RIght, off to look at gas & elec prices...just added up we spent £650 last year (october to october) on elect ALONE  Then another £371 on gas

Ahem.. My annual gas/electric bill was a grand total of... *drumroll*

    £2087.52

Though I've just had my first bill since we got the new boiler in and it is less than the same period last year.. not by much.. but it was quite a nice autumn last year and we didn't have the heating on as early and I was hanging stuff out for much longer..

Last year the November bill was £394.63

This year it is.. £381.41.. saved £13.22!!! lol.. that's a few beers!!! Hahaha!!

My February bill this year was over £700!! and my May one was another £700.. so.. we shall see when the next bill rolls on in!!

I don't know how to make it work for you, but I've copied and pasted it here :

    WEEKEND Frolics
For those who have extra weekend time and can't function without tasks... lol If you don't have time or want to spend time with your family that is brilliant.. go for it. It is a list of 10 tasks to do over the weekend if you get chance.. no pressure at all.. just ideas and reminders and winter preparations!

This is also a chance to get hubby's and children involved in the flying ;)
    • If you are wanting to take part in the flylady christmas card swap please PM pigpen your details!! .. name address and email addy.. some people want to send e-cards :D.. Last chance I am sending the lists out at the weekend!
    • Write a list of things YOU want for christmas!
    • Extra 30 minutes ironing.. school uniforms? work clothes?
    • change duvet for your winter one.. wash summer ones and put away..
    • Change any bedding you didn't get chance to do over the week!
    • Meal plan for the next week and make a shopping list... based on what you found in the freezer and those things that need using from our weekly cupboard sweep
    • Make sure you have everything ready for school/work for this week.. pe kits, socks, homework done etc.
    • Fill a binbag of things to get rid of.. charity/bin etc
    • Make a start on that decorating job you REALLY want to get done before christmas!!!!! We always have one!!
    • Make sure you have fuel/coal/wood/oil in for the colder months... find a supplier if necessary

I don't suppose clearing out your cookies would help moonflower? It would mean signing in again after but perhaps your computer is just showing the old stuff.

Don't know where you saw the clean wm cycle bit, but I assume that means run the washing machine empty on a hot wash, I do it with soda crystals and vinegar in the drawer.
  • Thanks for pasting that for me Pollybear. How often do you wash wm through with soda crystals? I have only done mine once this year!I have very hard water where I live prehaps I should do it once a month?

I would say once a month, but I wouldn't necessarily remember to do it that often :D
