Sorry you are having such an awful week medsdemon:(

I make GF enchilladas with my own spice mix but buy the wraps and also use wraps instead of pastry. I would be interested to hear how your GF wraps turn out.

£35 spent at the market this morning; there'll be another £10 or £20 tomorrow, depending on what the butcher's special offers are. In that £35 was a 25Kg sack of red spuds at £12, so I'm well happy; that'll bring the weekly totals down a bit, if only because I won't keep having to trot up to the supermarket! That will last us 6-8 weeks, stored in a cool dark shed, and another will be bought before the festive invasion begins. The home-grown spuds have come to an end now & would never have done us more than the odd meal; we'd need to rent another plot for that! Which is being seriously considered - half spuds, and half pumpkins & squashes... (Plot 1 is dedicated to summer veg & winter brassicas, with a corner set aside for strawberries & herbs.)

The annual log delivery also happened this morning so I'm off now to stack them in one or other of our little lean-to log stores before tomorrow's rain.

£3.75 is my first grocery spend of the month.
I hadn't planned on spending until Monday, but I've got a horrible cold, and I was craving orange juice and pizza, so that's what I got!
I also got some milk and some biccies for the tin, which was running out!

Isn't the old rhyme that you should feed a cold? ;)
Because it's fun to have money!

I used a second £8 off £40 voucher last night. DH and I went out while the sun shone and ended near the local town where the sm is. We managed to stick just above the £32 we were aiming for, by treating ourselves to lots of YS meat and fish. Had the pack of Gravadlax with a glass of wine last night (treat time) then leftover leek lasagne with last of the broccoli and romanescu cauliflower in the sauce. Yum

Went to Mr A last night and did a massive shop to last us until the end of the month as planned. I made a mistake and picked up the wrong pack of Pers1l, the one not on offer, which I will be returning for something much cheaper today when we go get DH some beer for tonight.

I don’t buy DH a weekends worth of beer at a time or he would just drink a couple extra on one night and I’d end up having to buy more anyway.

I have £43 plus the £11 from the pers1l to cover DH beer tonight, washing capsules, some tortilla chips for a shared meal and any fruit and milk needed before the end of the month/our holiday. It is doable if we don’t buy snacks and extras. Shopping when we are not hungry will help.

Our shopping was delivered last night £51.35 more than we would normally spend, but we had a voucher for £5 off our next shop if we spent £50. We bought extra storecupboard ingredients which will hopefully save pennies over the next few weeks

Hope you all have a good weekend.

Could I join in this month please? I've done some food shopping already but I have £150 left for the rest of the month. Freezer and cupboards are full but I will definitely need milk, cat litter, bread and some snacks for the House Troll (my almost 14 year old son). I am aiming not to buy anything at all until at least next Friday (the 12th).

£11 gone this morning, on a chicken, a pack of chicken breasts and some celery. I'm working tomorrow, so that should be it for spending until Tuesday or so...
