Yesterday was a write off on oh so many levels. Giving myself a Must Do Better report for today.
By 8pm I was struggling to stay awake even though I hadn't done anything apart from errand running all day. I held out until 10.30pm, but even then at 2am I was wide awake.
DH and I compared our top priorities for big projects and small jobs. To be fair, I forced the issue, but I hadn't realised that we were so far apart. There wasn't a single room in the house that featured on his list. Guess what was on my list. Onwards and upwards, even if it was a bit upsetting. I think I made a point and if nothing else, I at least understand a bit (not too much though!) why he doesn't seem to see things around the house the way that I do.
Sorry for the whitter. Thanks for listening. I'm off to work shortly, but will see what I can do in the next 30 minutes.
Thank you for the lists. They keep me sane.0 -
Jojo glad Fil on the mend, but sounds like the hard work is to come to get him sorted with suitable accomodation and foll.ow up.
I am up and motivated to get on with things this morning, not working until 3 so hope to get plenty done. I did my 10 000 steps yesterday mostly just around the house as I parked in the car park near work as was only in an hour and they give 3 hrs free.
I'm better posting what I've done rather than a list of what needs to be done (would be too long)
This morning so far:
Up, dressed
Bed made
Recycling out
DW unloaded
WM on
Bus booked for tomorrow
Loo cleaner put in all the loos
Breakfast now and then up to bedroom to tidy round and clear bags etc that were dumped there last weekend.
See you later0 -
Fayolle, OH and I are the same when it comes to this house, he just doesn't notice what is around him. I now break it down into 'jobs to be done' and present them one at a time to him, it means things take longer but avoids disagreements.
Hugs0 -
Morning all,
How on earth is it Thursday?! I was going to post at 5.30am yesterday when I got up but DS decided to get up too, I am like Mrs Large I just need 5 minutes peace! Planning to have that today after school run and big dog walk. Working this evening so a slightly disjointed day. At least I can do both School runs today.
DW unloaded, WM on, kids playing out already, due heavy rain later so might as well enjoy the calm now!
Have fab days all xxMFW

It wasn't a :money: day, either. A local theological library is closing down through lack of use and people to run it, so I went to see what was being given away in return for donations to a theological college in Tanzania and came home with 35 very useful books!
Today I must finish writing thank-you notes, book training days, and carry on tidying my study. Anything else will be a bonus.
(((Hugs))) spoons and sticks all round, as needed, and thumbs down to thoughtless builders
Catch up later x0 -
Done quite well this morning
Bedroom tidied, floor cleared, bags emptied and put away.
Books brought back down to the library area (how do books go upstairs but never come back down)
WM on again, stuff dried, ironed and put away (mainly towels & bedding)
Bag packed for weekend, leaving straight after work tonight
Going to prepare some veg for OH dinner tonight then my lunch before going off to work as would like to get ahead there ready for next week when the fun starts.
Probably won't get on site until after the weekend so that's it from me
Thanks for being there0 -

Not a lot going on here as I've been just doing the basics since having a tooth out on Tuesday afternoon. Will hopefully begin to play catch up tomorrow.Spend less now, work less later.0

What cleaning products does everyone use or favour? My new favourite is the cif power and shine degreaser for kitchen, fantastic on oven etc :cool:0

Thank you for the kind words, Mademoiselle. At least I know that I am not alone!
I've just booked our ferry crossing to Mademoiselle land....very happy! It will only be for a few days next month, but it might be one of the last times that we go en famille.
As that has obviously taken most of my time since getting in from work, especially when the wi-fi dropped out at the confirmation stage, I haven't yet made it to vacuuming the bedroom floor, but I did flip the duster around the room this morning, and squeeze in a bath clean. A vast improvement on yesterday.
Dinner to be cooked, lunch boxes to be prepped, then maybe some more paperwork, although I am sick of looking at a computer screen.0
