oh Dizzy, hugs for the dogQuick post to send massive healing vibes to Dizzy Dog.
Thank you ladies :iloveyou: He's home, but very tired, poor boy. Wasn't quite bankrupted by the vet's bill, but it was still eyewatering. I'm liquidising his food (pureed sprat and egg anyone?) with his medication and he seems very happy to be home. He was so lucky...he could've died
Not done too much today as I'm utterly exhausted, but hope to man-up in the morning.
Hope Madam Fluffy Knickers is speaking to you again Jojo :rotfl:
Must
remember to put out the recycling tomorrow, first thing...0 -

Nah. She's disappeared off to underneath the bed so she doesn't have to interact with me. She can hold grudges for a very long time - if I have to give her a bath or shower due to a tummy upset, she will refuse to set a single paw across the threshold on the bath or shower room for the next six months if I'm in there at the same time.
I do feel sorry for her, because it's purely my fault for not noticing the clump until it was too matted to do anything but cut it off - but I'm not in the habit of scrutinising her undercarriage, as she has a highly developed sense of dignity and generally keeps herself in perfect nick. And, despite her fury/horror/disgust at being flipped onto her back and unspeakable things being done to her, she was very well behaved and didn't draw any blood (she did voice her displeasure clearly and continually, however).
I'm expecting her to put the trauma behind her by the weekend.
I should go to bed. But it's sooooo much effort!I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.Yup you are officially Rock n Roll0 -
Glad animals seem to be on the mend and thinking about loving you again.
Up, dressed, bed made and rubbish done already this morning so feeling pleased with myself. What a difference it makes to get up a tidy kithen.
I didn't do much yesterday as work was hectic, the printer didn't work and needs a new head so new printer ordered and collected and dumped in the centre by boss who then left us to it with 2 hours to set up printer and connect it to computers so we could print presence sheet for exam. Was also the first exam we had hosted on our own so much stress. Exam went well and did manage to give a few helpful words to our new teacher who was in to lesson plan. Met OH in supermarket so shopping all done and put away whilst he cooked. I forced myself to clear last few bits in kitchen last night whilst waiting for kettle to boil for our bedtime drink and put DW on, so pleased I did as OH emptied it this morning and I put bits on draining board away and all done.
I know all of this is obvious to most of you but I can be quite quick to say I haven't got time to do it all so I won't to any of it, or I'm not very good at it so why bother. So I hope you don't mind me singing my own praises however small. I spend my working time telling people how well they are doing and reminding them that progress is progress, Rome wasn't built in a day etc but don't listen to myself.
So going to finish this cup of coffee, put bowl in DW and get on with something
See you later, sorry to have on a bit!0 -
Unlike you mam'zelle Im getting up to a messy kitchen. This is because I have DEALT WITH MY CANE TOAD (see Sunday) so it's done but not put away and then I lost the will...

I have been doing winter type things!
Put the thick liner jacket back into the outer jacket and finally got it to zip in correctly. (why do these things not come with instructions)
Found winter gloves, one pair in car, one pair in holder in hall way
Winter thicker duvet on bed, cat smuggled into it!, summer one folded and pack into vacum ang and away.
Collected new glasses from my sight test last week, put old ones away so I am not tempted to wear them while my eyes adjust.
Now I am having a break
Dizzy glad dog on the mend, what changes are you going to have to make to your house so it does not happen again, especially as you have doggy guests, it all sounds so scarey to me.Breast Cancer Now 100 miles October 2022 100 / 100miles

Morning all.
Glad to hear that your dog is recovering, Dizzy :j
My plan for today:
[STRIKE]- S&S kitchen
- empty recycling bins
- order repeat prescription
- admit meter reader and breathe a sigh of relief that I tidied the under-stairs cupboard yesterday, because he is a lot bigger than I am
- FUPA dry washing
- do WMx1[/STRIKE] and hang out
- S&S bathroom [just waiting for DH to emerge from the shower]
- clear my desk
- sort the 3 drawers in the COD (Toots job!)
- clear the pile of books on the COD
- sort and put away the things on the spare bed
- sit down for :coffee: with DH and synchronise diaries
- list and write all thank-you letters
- book training days
- look for a picture frame or six in the under-stairs cupboard (family photos- Toots job!)
- go to GC with DH, spend vouchers, and get him to buy me :coffee: :money:
- walk Rosie
- cook tea
- take DH to a meeting and collect him afterwards if no-one else offers him a lift home
- collapse in front of TV (I'm still catching up on sleep from last week)
Hope everyone has a productive day x0 -
What I've done
WM x 2, 1 load in TD and 1 load ironed plus big pile from Monday all put away
kitchen bin emptied and washed because it was manky
stairs dusted, including pictures etc and washed (they're wooden)
Long overdue email exchange with StepM which was risking turning into a Frog! Feel much better now.
Going to have a quick lunch whilst I prepare dinner for tonight and then see what to do after lunch, maybe the downstairs loo.0 -

Morning - just.
I'm glad doglet is ok, Dizzy.
I've been rushing around the big town, doing errands that I try to keep to once a month, otherwise the scrimper challenge really hits a dead end. Plus it is a 40 mile round trip, so it is more efficient to be organised - sometimes! I have been to W!lko to stock up on some toiletry and stationery type things, although some crocus bulbs might have also landed in my basket. Then it was on to Mr L, to stock up again. And a pair of gardening clogs for DH fell into the trolley. He did say he wanted them, but obviously couldn't remember to get them every time he drove past.... Then it was on to Mr M for everything that I didn't get elsewhere. Oh and some cyclamens fell into the trolley.
I'm home now, and need to tidy out my handbag, which is full of receipts.
It's blowing a gale outside, so I have just re-pegged down some tarpaulin, and think that the washing will have to dry indoors. Otherwise I may never see it again.0
