It's the millennial equivalent of an avocado bathroom suite.
    You take that back!
Avocado toilets have a quirky charm that a 'A house is not a home without laughter' stencil can only dream of.

For the authentic 80s effect it's essential your avocado toilet is in a carpeted bathroom with a matching bidet alongside it :D
  • Fortunately the wooden ones will go with the vendor and the stick on ones are peelable. The coordinating bits of fabric on the beds will also depart with the vendors.

Feature walls can be stripped and wouldn't bother me since I'd expect to redecorate.

Sadly, what some people regard as enhancement doesn't appeal to everyone, well not to me at least.
I was jumping to conclusions and one of them jumped back
  • As this is money saving if you want to recreate the 'look' pop into the pound shops....

A friend moved into a house with that on the wall. For a short time, before he decorated, he decided to add an 's' in front of laughter to see if anyone noticed :) Surprisingly, very few people did.

I've just put mine on the market. First I decluttered ... then there was little left. I car booted for vases, faux flowers, tablecloth, a couple of pics. Once the photos were taken, those were the main thing the agent "focussed on" in the images! Trouble is, I've so little in the way of "nice things" (zero before I car booted) that the house still looks bare in the photos :)

It actually takes a LOT of money to buy that !!!!!! :)

I even made a fake bed (boxes + blow up mattress + old quilt folded in my "best" (10 years old) quilt cover... looks like a bed, just don't sit on it!

I stopped at the bare minimum .... but for everything I bought, there could be seen "other things I could've bought". e.g. dressing the table as if a meal will be served... I bought my first ever tablecloth (£1)... I couldn't run to buying placemats and plates and glasses and a centrepiece. I put out a table/chairs in the garden I was given - I couldn't run to a cheery tablecloth, jug, glasses, small vase/flowers ...

That nonsense costs a lot of money to put together if you're starting with absolutely nothing.

I wouldn't have bothered. Although it seems to be generally accepted wisdom that adding ornaments, pictures etc to a house with minimalist furnishings and decor will make it more saleable, I personally don't think it makes the slightest difference.

If it didn't, show homes wouldn't exist. I doubt twee decals from Home Bargains feature highly many professional interior designers' lists of must-haves, though.

We renewed our wedding vows earlier this year and received loads of slogan stuff about love stories and 'live, laugh, love'. Plenty of people bought champagne, though, and that makes up for it.

I hope no one I know is reading this :o. I actually like writing on walls, I just don't want it to be instructions on what to do in a room and not the same as everyone elses. There are plenty of words to go around.

I was just a little bit sick in my mouth.
