  • Evening all

Well today saw + 1 lb - a little surprised but I guess my week where I went off grid came back to bite me on the bum.

I've decided that I need to get my act together &, like Stoke, want to be at target by the end of the month.

So today I've been totally on plan & for the first time in a long while on a weekend, measured my hea.

I've also planned our meals this week rather than winging it....tonight we had a WW recipe (I've got a readly subscription) for an Indian Butter Chicken....worked it out at about 3 syns but am completely full so no picking tonight (which has to be a plus)

    Have a good evening everyone

  • I hope you found a sewing pattern, Denise. I have not made anything for me since I got fat. ☹ I used to make all my own clothes but not it’s my grandchildren I sew for. They have total faith in my abilities and at this time of year they put in requests for Hallowe’en costumes. This year one grandson is not dressing up (yet). The 6 yo GD won’t be hard – pretty witch with a ‘sticky out’ dress with spiders and cobwebs on the skirt, cross strings on the bodice and puff sleeves, either in dark pink/light pink or purple/lilac. She is quite particular. The other GS wants a Chinese dragon costume in red and gold. I’ll start that one on Monday. The baby is going to be Wonder Woman (lol) and I’ve cheated by buying most of it, so I just have the tiara and wristbands to make. I’ve been let of lightly this year.

Every little counts, TG and TIE, so well done! Great stuff, Midge.

I am a happy bairn tonight – a 0-2 win, thank goodness. Sorry, maman, but at least Swansea won, with an ex Bairn scoring there. I see Stoke came through; sorry but I’m on the Millers’ side as they have my favourite ex Bairn, Will Vaulks. I miss his somersaults ☹ Also a bad day for tweets, if I remember correctly.

Greentiger unfortunately I couldn't find a pattern that I could use for the piece of fabric I wanted to use - the pattern needed 2.5 metres and I've only got a scant 2 metres. Sometimes you can get away with using less that because I have to adjust patterns quite a bit (bigger bottom half than top!). I buy size 12 clothes but when I make my own it's a size 14 top and size 16 bottom! Why they don't make clothes patterns a similar size to shop bought clothes I'll never understand.

We off to Isle of Wight tomorrow so may have a look to see if I can find a pattern in a CS - new ones are far too expensive for some pieces of tissue!

Final load of washing on and will be going out on the line in about 1/2 hour. Weather doesn't look too bad so hopefully it'll dry.

Glad you've got an appointment soon Bubbs; think I'd of been inclined to change the dental appointment for this Thursday and taken the hospital appointment (unless of course you've got toothache!).

Didn't have any wine last night but did have a couple of G&Ts instead but meant I ended on 11 syns for the day so 4 syns pulled back! Just need to stick to plan as much as possible this week!

    Today's plan:

B - bacon, egg, beans, fried up LO potato, mushrooms
L - not sure yet but probably some sort of salad
D - roast chicken, roast potatoes, roast peppers & onions, green veg - not sure what yet but possibly cabbage, green beans & peas. Splash of gravy.

    HEA - milk
HEB - not sure but might have a couple of crackers & a Hifi bar
Syns - butter if I have the crackers; not sure what else. Probably won't drink tonight as have to get up early tomorrow morning and I don't do that too easily if I've been drinking!

    Have a great day everyone.

    Denise
