    I think that the pub had ditched VCS.  The landlord would have been willing to cancel the ticket but was not longer engaging VCS and VCS were relying on an old contract.

  • The landlord has been extremely helpful with all this. They have not been able to cancel previous tickets for other customers.  I can't say a bad word toward the pub at all.

    As far as i know the agent - parking company can only pursue through the courts if it has the permission of its principal, in this case the pub .
     Even if the relatinship between the pub and its agent has broken down, the pub could still step in .

    If this  is an independant pub, then i would turn fire on VCS and try and wipe the smug smile of simon renshaw smiths face

    And if my opening statement is correct, then all the landlord needs to do is issue some sort of statement pullling the rug from under VCS's feet
