So you're revising your offer by £450...? Which includes the CU you already knew needed replacing?
Sorry, if I was the vendor, I'd be rolling my eyes and thinking I'd be better off losing you and finding a less penny-pinching, less scared-over-trivia buyer.0 -

i think you and other have misunderstood me, i was under the impression that it needed rewired, which can cost thousands, they rejected my original offer but now I have had the electrical review I now know that it will only cost me hundreds not thousands as first thought, the offer I put in this morning reflected that and they have this afternoon accepted that offer– maybes if you had read the whole thread you would realise im not a bl0ody penny pincher! :A0 -
So, if we have cleared that up
id like advice as to what happens next, they want my solicitors details which I will sort out at my break and they want proof of my mortgage in principal (my advisor is on holiday until next week) will his assistant be able to sort something out?

My apologies for the misunderstanding - the thread is rather fragmented by now.0 -

My people are speaking to their people, the MA is completing the application, not sure what happens next. The solicitor wanted a cheque, who has a cheque book these days lol. Don’t even have banks in this town so they are happy with a transfer thank goodness0

Ok so quick update, the valuation is on Friday, for the mortgage company, at what point do they do the surveyr, id like it to have a surveyr even a home buyers report?0

Usually a lender doesn't do much more, if anything, than a valuation. If you want a HB report or a building survey, you need to be sure before they go out that they are doing the sort of survey you need if you want to use them to do it, or commission your own.
There's a download here about the different types of survey:

is it normal to commission your own, i want to find out about the house not just a basic valuation? thank you for the info!0
