Hi, how did everyone get on? I’m looking to use Pepper, I have no defaults/CCJ but two missed payments (now settled) that I thought had ended. Was wondering how long it takes to receive an AIP? The agent has also said we have to use a lender approved by them? Is this true or is it a way to make us use their broker?Thanks0

Is this true or is it a way to make us use their broker?Estate agents cannot force you to use their in-house broker and in most cases, it is not a good idea to use the in-house broker. A local indepdent advice firm is usually the better option

It took 24 hours to get our AIP but on day 11 waiting for official offer0

We had an offer with pepper and were due to complete in March but the vendors pulled out due to corona. We found another property, put new full application in with pepper in april, had a long wait for the valuation which has just been done and is satisfactory, fingers crossed awaiting new offer!0

I’m on day 16 waiting, they keep requesting more info then looking at it then requesting something new. I feel like I’m selling my soul 🤣peanutandbear said:We had an offer with pepper and were due to complete in March but the vendors pulled out due to corona. What docs/more info have they asked for? We are about to make an application so might help to know what we need to get together so we don’t have any delays. Good luck with your application and hope your hear soon 🤞natasha_aa said:

We are on day 16 too. They are slow. We provided 3months bank statements, account numbers of debts we were paying off, justification of adverse credit, gambling on statement (only a small amount!) , even a payment into my savings account got queried!johnm251188 said:

We got a AIP with Pepper last week and submitted full application on Saturday. They are taking out the valuation fee today- is this normal this soon in to application? From what I’ve read they usually take the valuation fee after the checks have been done.I feel sick about the whole thing!! 🙈0

Yes they did the same with us, took it before underwriting, which they are still doing, nearly 3 weeks later! No valuation booked in yet... They certainly take their time.Gemsi84 said:We got a AIP with Pepper last week and submitted full application on Saturday.
