I get the feeling there is an error here rather than a scam. If you look at the rest of the stuff on the site there are no other bargains like this. I wonder if the description is wrong ?
  • I've had it confirmed by their customer support that the price was not an error.

There are container loads of "customer returns" from the likes of Argos, Boots etc being sold around the country on markets. It is cheaper for the big shops to do it this way. So more than likely these are Beko customer returns, sold as a job lot to this firm and are legit.

However as has been said, there may have been a slip in description between seller and buyer, therefore IMHO are more likely to be "standard" crt tvs rather than LCD having the price in mind. Good luck to those at the start of an adventure, hope you get what you wanted. Life is a gamble, Poppycat doesnt play Poker ;)

...A bargain is a bargain - a gamble is a gamble. We have laws in the UK aimed at ensuring that shopping is *not* a gamble. I would never buy online from a company I've never heard of without at least seeing what sort of track record/feedback they have. That's just common sense (something a bit lacking on this forum at times).

Now showing out of stock. Guess everyone has had a go!

  • not me. too much of a punt.
Sounds like it might be legit what with the callbacks.
However if a scam needed 20 days to run away with funds the callback would ensure a better scam profit.

    Who knows.

One of the biggest scams was Fairpack. Knew they were going bust and took the money anyway. Nice timing of Fairpack to cease trading at near end of everyones subs.

If, like me your lucky enough to have a Sharp Electronics outlet near you, you can pick up a very nice looking Sharp LC26P50E for £225 OR a Sharp LC32P55E for £275! The latter retails @ Curry's for £500!!!!

It must be said that these are grade A stock...... Ill pay the extra for peace of mind!

Sorry, to answer your question I think they are both much of a much and not a bad price in all honesty. I bought the older AS LCD 32" and im sorry I took it back.... The Sharp 32" is however the dogs hairy bits......

From what I understand you should be covered by Paypal, and they'd deal with your CC company. However if Paypal refuse to help you then you always have your CC protection anyway :)

AFAIK Credit Card companies do not cover purchases via Ebay.

Not sure whether its because in reality the CC company has fulfilled their obligations (ie giving money to paypal) or because credit card protection doesn't cover financial services transactions.

Either way the only protection you might have would be from paypal (And its not like pople have had problems with them!!) [insert sarcasm smiley here]

As to whether the company's legit or not I have no idea.

Any clue as to where these outlets can be found? :)
