    They probably will not bother to send you a letter unless you formally ask for one.
    Given the obvious lack of organisation within their credit control department, along with their arrogant assumptions that 'we say you owe us money, therefore you owe us money' I think it would, indeed, be a good idea to formally request confirmation that this account is 'paid in full'.
    Send them a formal letter, requesting a receipt for the payment sent on xx.04.08, and requesting their written confirmation that there is no outstanding balance on the account. Send it by recorded delivery, keeping a copy in case of any further demands for payment from either Orange or any associated dca.
    I am NOT, nor do I profess to be, a Qualified Debt Adviser. I have made MANY mistakes and have OFTEN been the unwitting victim of the the shamefull tactics of the Financial Industry.
    If any of my experiences, or the knowledge that I have gained from those experiences, can help anyone who finds themselves in similar circumstances, then my experiences have not been in vain.
