  • Thank you rog2, your help has been a blessing.
Im sure orange will cash the cheque, like you said, its very doubtful that they will return a cheque, lol.

Merry Christmas to you and your family, and I also hope you have a relaxing one as well.

    Thanks again.

Thanks mumzof2, I hope it gets sorted for my sisters sake. Because she is worried about moorcroft increasing a debt that she cannot already afford to pay in one lump sum.

Buts thanks to the advice of Rog2 we are sure it will be resolved.

    Thank you

Hi there, moorcroft decided to call us today, but unfortunately my sister answered. They told here they wanted full payment over the phone, so she told them that she sent them a letter offering 3 equal payments which they ignored and still persisted to send a threatening letters. So she passed the phone to me because she was unsure how to deal with them.

They told me that they wanted full payment over the phone now before they take any further action, so I told them that we sent a letter with an offer which they decided to ignore, the guy then told me, "so you sent a letter why didnt you send they payment?", I then told them we were waiting for you to accept it. The guy then got aggressive and stated they dont want us to keep sending letters they just want us to just send the payment, once he said that, I told that I was not happy with this conversation and any further correspondence should be made via letters and not over the phone, and then put the phone down.

sorry about the rambling on here, but I couldn't believe how rude he was even though we said we sent letters and are awaiting their reply. Im glad i found this forum for help because these moorcroft people really dont play nice.

They caught me off guard though and i didnt state what Rog2 said in his earlier post.

So im wondering now, should we call them back and tell them that she does not acknowledge any debt to Moorcroft, and any further contact, by them, will be considered as harrassment and reported to the appropriate authorities?

I hope to hear from you soon, thank you.

Don't phone them!! Ensure that all communications are in writing, it's the only why to stop the harassment and to give you both a peaceful life. Have you sent them the letter that states that that is what you require? If not and you can't find it, I'll go off and get a link to it for you.

rog2 will be back soon, I'm sure (Could be that rog2 has a life beyond this site :T )
  • i work for o2 and we also use moorcroft, however if a customer calls us and offers to pay us the amount we will then recover the debt back form the collection agency and allow customers to set up payment plan with us. it may be worth trying to speak to orange debt assistance to see if they will allow this (if you havent already)

Follow this link for the letter and it's follow up. Click here Just make sure that you also add the line which says "I do not acknowledge any debt to your company" It's most important that you put that at the top of ALL correspondence to them.
  • We havent called orange bringmeshoes, but we did send a letter to them with the first instalment and stating that there will be two more to follow, as well as if they accepted the cheque that they would in turn be agreeing to our terms, as advised by rog2 (much appreciated of course).

Yep MKDon, im sure rog2 does have a life outside of this forum, hahaha... By the way thank you for the link to the template, I'll be printing that out tonight and posting it to moorcroft in the morning by registered post. I will definitely be adding "I do not acknowledge any debt to your company".

    Thank you for the replies.

I sometimes wonder, MK. :rotfl: :rotfl:

I've just been busy at work - need the overtime.

Again, Eyeman, ignore Moorcroft for a while - if they phone again, tell your sister to refuse to answer the security questions that they are obliged by law to ask, before discussing any 'alleged debt'. Have you had any reply from Orange yet, and has the cheque cleared?

  • Hello Rog2, im very happy because I saw that the cheque was cashed today. I have not heard anything from orange yet.

Just wondering what the next course of action should be, should my sister just send the next cheque at the same date of the following month, or should we wait for orange to send a letter of some sort?

    Regards
