Well, I've decided I'm going to go for it :D

I'm hoping to pay it over 2 months, 6 months would be easier but I don't want it hanging over me. Things are tight enough. I need to maximise the pain in the shortest time possible so that I can get back to building up the pots. Just waiting to hear that they've accepted it.

I'm going to dip into every pot, beg, borrow, steal (not really ;) ) to find the cash, and go hunting for a load more stuff to sell. I've done it before, I'm sure I can do it again (though I've got less stuff to sell now).

The thought that I could be less than £20k is amazing, and it will mean I can clear the others quicker when little miss goes to school and there's more money around.

    Wish me luck :)

  • Amazing. So glad you decided to go for it. Well done for doing it in 2 months as well. Ours was a bit too big for that. But even 6 months doesn't seem too long to go. Just think of the money we are saving and not having to pay them back...lol.

Thank you :) I'm lucky it's one of my smallest debts, a bigger one would not have been possible. 6 months would have been much easier, but there's also the big risk that something else would come up. With 2 months it's doable but very difficult and gone. (It's not even 2 months, it's 2 paydays, I want it cleared by the end of May :rotfl: ) The saving is huge. I'm so glad you got the discount too :D

You could ask them for 6 months so that IF anything went wrong and you were a bit short over the 2 it would take the pressure off you, then you can have the paying in 2 and done by the end of May as your personal target :)
Very best of luck, it would be amazing if you can do it :)
