is it really doable or are you trying to convince yourself? what would it do to your debt free date? how much would it free up to set aside for other f&f?

I'm not sure it is. I'll have to number crunch. It won't free up any money as I'm only paying £1 a month to each of my creditors. It would knock over 2000 months off my current dfd though :rotfl:
Wow that is a great offer Jwil :T. I'd be very tempted by that. What would be the rationale for not accepting the offer? Would it mean you couldn't afford other bills?

I would have to seriously scrimp on groceries etc and take the money from those budgets. It's probably doable, but I need to sit down and work it out.
Difficult choice. Do you push yourself and go for it or hold out to have the financial cushion. You need a crystal ball for that one. Must be something in the air as ive been offered a settlement this week as well. Was too much so i sent a cheeky reply just to see and got an offer on 44% payable. Decisions decisions.
Well done on the car boots and selling you have really kept the momemtum going.

They say it's only available for 30 days and after that it wiill go back to normal discounts so they must be trying to shift some off their books.

Yes it was them - but managed by Wes**t so the letter came from them. I don't know if that makes a difference. It's always worth a try asking.

I just spoke C*b*t via live chat, they had just recently taken over the management of the 3 debts. They were originally H/Fx and Ll*yds ones.
Anyway, they said they could do it over 6 months, so I said yes, we have been saving little bits in an F&F savings account, so worked out that we could just about manage it and would save us over £3k in the long run! They asked if I wanted to settle on the other account as well, but I said we couldn't afford all of them together, so they said once this one is paid in 6 months, to contact them again and they will look at the others...:T
Hope you make the right decisions on yours. We will cut back a bit on all our spending for a few months, but it will be worth it.
So glad I saw your post saying about the 6 months, otherwise I wouldn't have thought to ask them.
