That sounds like a great plan, clutter stresses me as well as no money, but you have more control over the clutter.

    It drives me crazy :(

Snap! We are getting some trofast. Felt tip pens, crayons, hatchimals collectibles, part of that toy that's somewhere... taking over the blooming house! Why are they in my bed?!? There isn't an actual place for them though and unlike the McDonald's toys they can't just go in the bin. Reclaim your front room jwil!
We are covered in brick dust here. Every surface of the house. Driving me insane. But yes get a room that's done, then when you get overwhelmed go in there then you're brain functions better.

Totally fantastic news about saving 15 years of payments!

You're doing great jwil. This too shall pass xxxx

Oh I know, how can there be so many bits???? It's insane. The kids are just rediscovering everything, and playing and getting in my way!

We have got rid of 2 big boxes full. DH is at a car boot trying to flog some of it, but it doesn't sound like he's doing well.

I'm trying to organise it all and get it put away. We've got Argos version of Kallax, 2 x 8 units  and it's still too much.

Shame about the brick dust, what are you having done? It will be worth it in the end :)

Well someone has messaged about one of the bulky items I thought I'd deleted off FB a few weeks ago. I'm hoping they are coming today, but they haven't messaged. I'm hoping its not another timewaster. I've marked the item as sold anyway, hoping that clears it, and if not, I'm probably just going to charity the item. I just hate waiting around for people!

Fingers crossed they come. Sorry about my you're typo... I can't edit it and it's so annoying. Needless to say I'm not in a tidy room right now.

I really hope they do come. And I'm sorry the car boot isn't doing well.

Maybe a tip run is on the cards instead?

We've been knocking down walls and this new dust is from opening up an opening more. I never plan for all the dust. It's crazy - it's coming out your nose for days after. Today we've been ripping out the kitchen. We are actually paying a plasterer to come this week! The ceiling was so bad... think 60 years of different people thinking they can artex little patches that we pulled it down to start again. So removing what we need to for that. I like open plan. What an idiot.

I know, I hate it, I wish I could sell stuff like you do on FB! They are all timewasters here  It's 5 hours since they said they were popping into town and they haven't answered my message so I guess they are not coming

I won't send decent stuff to the tip, so I'll let a charity have it instead. Most of the stuff out today is new so we'll carry it for a bit longer. Apparently there were loads of sellers but not many buyers today so that doesn't help. Because we did a big sort out and cleared a load of stuff the other week, the van is relatively empty so we've got room to add to it and get it out of the house!

Sounds like you've got a lot on, it will be amazing when you've done it! I feel your pain with the artex, it's horrid stuff! Shiny new kitchen sounds fab!

All the kids stuff is out of the front room now. It's still not properly sorted in the middle room though. I can't believe how much they've got. Marie Kondo is so right when she goes on about the 'power of the pile'.

Hopefully DH will get on with moving his stuff now too and at least one room will feel better.

Well done for not just sulking whilst the kids scream and cracking on.... That's what I've done. Husband has bought me wine which has just been knocked over by dd2 as I was type. Ughhhhhhh! My floor is lego. Everywhere. And I'm pretty sure Minnie mouse is in my bed. So go you!!!

I just found out my husband sold something on Facebook today. To a guy a went to school with lol.

I'm.glad the van is ready for more stuff! If it's in the van, it's not in your house. I didn't mean it's tip worthy. I just meant get it out! But no fair enough not new stuff. What do you think of gumtree? I don't get as much interest but they're more likely to turn up.

Oh no! What a waste of valuable wine :rotfl: The Lego isn't too widespread yet as little miss isn't old enough so it gets kept away from her. I dread to think what it will be like once she is allowed it!

Well done on your husband's sale :)

I've never actually looked at Gumtree :o I don't know if it's well used around here or not! I'll maybe have a look, but I'm back on the lines of if it can't be posted it's being donated!

Unsurprisingly the buyer didn't turn up  Messaged this morning to say they'd forgotten and could they come today. I said not to bother as I'd waited in all day yesterday, and am not prepared to do it today - all for the sake of £5!

We decided to go booting this morning and have done decidedly better than yesterday thankfully! I bought some clothes for me and little miss. but was good otherwise.

DH and I have had a row, so I'm looking forward to a quiet afternoon :rotfl:
