http://no1currency.co.uk/ do pretty good rates, usually slightly better than travelex and are located inside most of the 'cash generator' places all over the country.

    Hi
Has anyone used this site to buy us dollars?
They are offering 2.0900 to the pound for delivery in March.
    Are they reputable?
    Thanks

    US airports have cashpoints.

And if you need USD to pay visas and airport taxes in East Africa, how would that help?

your money sits in their accounts earning them interest

Actually I very much doubt it. They are more likely to use your money to buy future dollars on the wholesale market (at a slightly better rate than they give you) and will pass the $$ on to you when they get them. I can't see them going in for currency speculation themselves - too risky.

I am going in March next year, and will still be using my cards.

The "experts" think it will be 2.15 by next spring

Not looking too good for those 'experts' at the moment!

Well that'll be how they make their money obviously! It meant I could tie in a good exchange rate and the amount of interest I would have earned in the 2 months would have amounted to about 2p! So I'm happy, they're happy....we're all happy! Bucks to arrive on Friday so will let you know if all goes ok.
