As they say 'a bird in the hand is worth two in the bush'
I am going in March next year, and will still be using my cards.
The "experts" think it will be 2.15 by next spring0 -
Just rang Tesco as I have a Tesco Credit Card, and was told that you would still be charged interest from the day of the transaction until you settled the bill with Tesco (so to speak).
Which is disappointing, as I wanted to get the points by using the CC.0 -
Well I got 2.0131 from the post office today and was chuffed with that.0

Hammy I think we should give up, there are always, it seems people going to be happy at not getting the best rate that they can.0 -
Must say I've been very impress thus far with crown currency exchange. Ordered dollars about 6 weeks ago for delivery later in Nov - I got 2.0364 at the time but their rate is much higher now. There's no charge for delivery and no commission (unless you buy their InterBank rate - the one marked RED usually). Will report back when the bucks arrive.....today their rates are between 2.06 and 2.15. Also, you phone to arrange buying the dollars and they email bank account details to make your payment to, i.e. you make a bank transfer (or can pay by cheque) and thus don't get stung by your bank also.
