And there is still loads of stuff that needs doing in the evening.

Take a week off and find out what she does all day.

    (woops that's the other thread)

What is happening at the weekends does it carry on then as well?
if it is get out of the house for at least one day, not there nothing needs doing.

Take a week off and find out what she does all day. - haha, if I take the week off, im expected to do everything.

Weekends varies as there's often kids clubs etc.

I do suggest it, but she has anxiety and can struggle with going out.

(trust me I know it sounds like im making excuses but this is all 100% true!)

    - it's been difficult; im sure life isn't supposed to be like this!

How often do you have people round?

couples for a night or families for a BBQ as examples.

what clubs are your kids in at weekends who decided they were needed?

Haha never. She doesn’t have many friends and doesn’t approve of mine!

Football and swimming. Those were mutual decisions.

It isnt .... and it never ceases to amaze me why people exist this way .... Take some of your focus and expense away from the children and reassign to you and your wife as a couple ... This is the first thing I would try. If your wife's anxiety prevents a lifestyle that fufill your needs/happiness then you will need to move on, or risk looking back in later life wishing you had.

I’d love to but at the minute I don’t think that’s going to happen! :)

But you raise a very valid point in that last sentence!

Wishful thinking maybe but it didn’t start this way...

Every parent I know ends up having mutual friends/events based round the kids/couple

Do the parents hang out at football club and do the kids have friends there?

Maybe an after football playdate/BBQ type thing with parents as well.

mind you the best weekends seem to have finished.

Do the parents hang out at football club and do the kids have friends there? - It's mostly a case of take them, make small talk, bring them home. Though I'm more interested in their game than chatting.

Maybe an after football playdate/BBQ type thing with parents as well. - Typically we have their friend over quite often, sometimes as many as 6 or 7 children in the house. But not the parents.

mind you the best weekends seem to have finished.

To be honest I've never really considered the whole kids and parents thing.

I'd rather spend time with her just us two, or us two in a group of adults. But outside that XXXXing house!

There's only so many games of monopoly one can play!
