CCBC Form received for UKCPM/Gladstones

Should I be doing anything at this point?
You are waiting for the court to issue a date to you. It will be on a document called Notice of Allocation. Come back when you get it.
Did you get a statement from the soft play to confirm what they said? If not, because the person has left (as mentioned before), try to see if the manager can provide a general statement on their parking policy.
If not it will all come down to who the judge thinks is the more honest. That will require you to attend a hearing so the judge can "see the whites of your eyes". Judges place a lot of emphasis on their reading of people in front of them. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. No luck with a statement from the soft play centre as officially they have no spaces outside for customer parking and it seems the member of staff who said we’d be ok should not have said that. One of many reasons they are no longer working there....
I’ve had a response from Gladstones enclosing UKCPM’s DQ’s and also stating they will be requesting the case is dealt on papers without the need for an oral hearing as they feel the matter is ‘relatively straight forward’.0 -

Good old Gladstones, trying to play god again, they are
far from that.
They can request all they want but the choice is yours
not theirs ?
Heard on papers is dodgy, very dodgy, as you must get
the opportunity to speak face to face with a judge.
Gladstones are trying to scare you saying that is
"relatively straight forward"
What is "relatively straight forward" is that when they
offer this, they are very unsure they will win
And what is "relatively straight forward" is for the judge
to whoop them in court anyway because of a poor
Gladstones claim

Brief update. I’ve now received a letter stating my claim has been allocated to the small claims track by the judge?0

Pot 2 of the newbies thread tells you what to expect and when - so does this fit in with that post?0

I’m back online and very aware I need to get my prep work done, unfortunately I have been through a messy separation with my wife and now looking at a divorce which has taken up most of my attention.
Documents need to be with the court no later than 30th January and I’m considering just paying the charges now as my thoughts are obviously elsewhere, but with the help of this forum I’m going to give it a go.
The young girl who said we’d be fine to park where we did no longer works at the soft play area so I’m not sure if it’s even worth mentioning? Maybe an example of taken under good faith?
I understand a WS needs to be produced by myself as keeper, which I will start drafting asap, aswell as gathering the other documents mentioned by Couponmad in post 2 of the newbies thread.0 -
Ok, week off work and this is my first priority so any further help or advice would be very much appreciated.0
