County court letter
Comments

I've made/sent no witness statement to either court or claimant0
-
Why is that a problem?
You haven't yet told us your hearing date, nor the date that you are due to supply your Witness Statement and evidence.0 -
Will the claimants representative be a part of their company or just somebody they've paid to defend their claim?0
-
Court date is the 21st Feb. Reading through the confusing newbie threads it seems I should have sent off my statements 14 days before?0

Please don't blame the NEWBIES thread for that.Court date is the 21st Feb. Reading through the confusing newbie threads it seems I should have sent off my statements 14 days before?
It is your Notice of Allocation that tells you when that stuff is due.
Yes, it often is 14 days beforehand, but your letter from the court is the definitive statement.0 -
I have a letter from the court and it does state that but I only realised when looking through the newbies thread that it's a common mistake for people not in the know.
Its confusing for me, I'm not blaming it for anything0 -
Would anyone care to explain the procedure if I lose?
Is it a case of "I can't afford any more than £20 a month, deal with it?" or am I likely to get bailiffs or something knock on my door?
The current costs are £400 something, is this likely to increase once lost?0 -
So you've messed it all up big time, so what s**t happens, why not read as much as possible on here about Court procedures, defences, WS etc etc (which of course you should have done ages ago) go to Court and wing it, nothing to lose putting your side across to the Judge your not looking at 10 years in the big house if you lose maybe just half a grand and NO CCJ if you pay it in the timescale the Judge orders you to, Judge might even allow you a half decent payment plan, then stick two fingers up at the parking scums rep get on with your life.
I haven't read all the thread so if I've missed something you have done right to sort this situation apologies.0 -

So maybe not half a grand, the parking scum can only legally claim so much so you may end up paying less than £400 and repeating what I said earlier yes you will possibly be given time to pay in instalments, all depends on your impression on the Judge, he/she is the only person that matters, F**k the parking scammers.
No Bailiffs will come knocking if you comply with Judges order/s0 -
Yes I've done everything as advised pretty much so far..
I can't see how walking out with a £500 fine is sticking my fingers up at the parking rep though? This Is the thing that's getting me the most, the thought of them winning through out and out scamming kills me..
I'm doing what I can now for a witness statement and hope for the best.
I'll be honest I thought I had it in the bag when I went back to the location and there were no signs but in the witness statement they sent me it seems there were???0
