As far as i could see there is no information about any privacy officer on the PP's website so I have sent my complaint directly to PP on their appeal site.

A long as you did this:

Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

Now actually i probably wasnt the driver but now i've done it can i go back and say i wasn't and that i made a mistake in the original appeal?

Of course you can, the amount of mistakes I have made when booking flights and hotels is too numerous to mention, I hate those drop down menus. It is all a scam.

This is an entirely unregulated industry which is scamming the public with inflated claims for minor breaches of contracts for alleged parking offences, aided and abetted by a handful of low-rent solicitors.

Parking Eye, CPM, Smart, and another company have already been named and shamed, as has Gladstones Solicitors, and BW Legal, (these two law firms take hundreds of these cases to court each year). They lose most of them, and have been reported to the regulatory authority by an M.P.
    for unprofessional conduct

Hospital car parks and residential complex tickets have been especially mentioned.

The problem has become so rampant that MPs have agreed to enact a Bill to regulate these scammers. Watch the video of the Second Reading in the House of Commons recently

and complain in the most robust terms to your MP. With a fair wind they will be out of business by Christmas.
You never know how far you can go until you go too far.
  • Latest from PP is that they are now pursuing the registered keeper. I'll await the POPLA code and go from there. Would appreciate any advice once i draft my appeal.

Incidentally this PCN was delivered in August and it is now Oct and still no POPLA code. Can i use this in the defence?

    Yes
They were required - REQUIRED - to when rejecting an appeal provide a code for POPLA

They have still not done so.
You ask that they sanciton their operator for a clear breach of the CoP.
  • sorry, "CoP"?
