So this is my plan, if I move in with OH I'll apply for the bank care job at the council and hope I'd be considered for that. As more flexible and better money than the current one.

If I don't move in with him I will try and find somewhere much cheaper. I'll have to get over not having an en suite but that might mean I can work less hours or least use the money saved for debt and have a job with less stress..

All I know is I can't keep going on as I am.... feel like I might have a breakdown.

So I've applied for the bank job near to my boyfriends, waiting to hear back form them.

I'm handing in my notice at work tomorrow, it's scary and I'm dreading it but I know I will be much happier.

So my plan now is to focus on uni and placement until this year is finished then find a summer job and clear my credit card.

It's not that I haven't enjoyed some aspects of the job but it's just been too full on for me.

I'm going to have a clear out of stuff next week and see if I can sell some clothes and bits and bobs I can get rid of..

So my notice has been handed in. My boss isn't in until Monday I fully expect a phone call to plead with me not to go but I need to.

A day of 2 halves, got paid today and got a nice £600 tax refund so that has gone in the emergency fund.

Got some exam results back and I've failed, I can re sit but I'm just annoyed as I thought it went ok.

Guess that's a reminder that I need to concentrate 110% on my degree

  • Yes, time to concentrate on your studying. That's your full-time job at the moment. Can you meet with your tutor before the resit to go over where you need to improve?

    Good luck :)

Well my name is Welly and I'm a food addict... been hammering the gym and getting my steps in only to come home and eat a pizza with half my days calories in!!

Nothing much to report on the money front, got an interview on Friday for the bank care job, fingers crossed. Money would be helpful and being bank I can do when I want.

Downsides, car is booked in for an MOT and service on the 28th that will cost almost £300 providing it passes it's MOT. This is also the week before placement, I hope I don't get left without a car!

I had a meeting with my tutor with regards to my failed exam, she made me feel like an idiot. Even had the cheek to ask if I'd been attending lectures.. I've missed one day since September and I've not missed any of her lectures.

Just realised how soon I'll have to move out as well. Won't be long think I'll be moving in with the OH still need to talk about it properly...

  • I'm sorry your tutor was unhelpful. Still, it's motivation to smash the exams next time around.

Fingers crossed on the job and the car :)

Haven't updated this in weeks, just been so busy! Nothing much to report just on practice placement at the moment, this has been my second week 3 more to go! I'm really enjoying it!

Car passed it's first MOT and had a service which I had budgeted for.. never heard back about the bank care job, I hate it when you don't get a yes or no.

Had an interview at a supermarket near my OHs on Monday, have another interview at the same company just the store in the town I live on the 29th.

I really hope I get one of them, I need to go flat out over summer and get some debt paid off.. I feel like everyone is getting married, buying houses and here's me just trying to survive.. I know it will be worth it and people only tend to portray the good etc but it's hard!

Still not sure where I will live come May either.. I feel a bit lost really with it all, I love where I live currently and I know my landlady is devastated I have to move but the situation means I just can't stay.. perhaps a good old pro's and con's list is needed!

So to update I'm assuming I didn't get the job I had the interview for last Monday as I've not heard back. Still have the interview this coming Friday.

Also have applied for loads of other jobs round and about, I'll do anything! I have applied for a HCA job at a hospital down the road, that would be ideal part time.

I'm moving in with the OH at the end of May, we had the conversation yesterday, it makes sense both financially and I might actually get to see him a bit more! This will mean a commute to uni but I won't be paying as much in rent and I can save money doing proper food shops etc.
