There are no longer any meter readings showing on my Octopus account, even though I previously had a start read and an end of august read, no DD seems to have been taken as yet though so at least that has worked.
End of August reads still showing on my Octopus account, no DD taken, no final bill as yet.0 -

Same thing happened to me.I suspect that once they had been informed that I was switching. something changed in the background on the billing system, and the three readings which had been showing ,all vanished.
I contacted them via email when I got a confirmation that they still had my final Iresa reading stored and the CSA manually restored my end of August reading on the website. Now they have obviously received the verified switch reading for my new supplier as that reading for 12th Sept. has replaced the end of Aug. reading. Doesn't seem to be any way to see meter reading history.:(0 -
Well 2 weeks since I switched away - but not even a "sorry you are leaving us" email - they really have bitten off more than they can chew with the IRESA customers "take over"!!0

Same here. Switched away on the 11th.
It's all gone quiet since Maddie's last blog almost 2 weeks ago now.0 -
And the same here......switched to eversmart on the 12th and octopus account has not changed since they took over iresa account0

I`ve provided Breeze energy with my readings ready for my switch. Paid Octopus up to 4th September but had to push them for a bill (which was correct) should only owe them 20`odd days when the switch finally happens0

Isn't there a cool off period of 14 days ? Don't think anybody does anything much till that time in case you change your mind.
I've initiated my switch from Octopus to Enstroga. I know they have rotten reviews but are the cheapest, which is all that matters. Iresa had similar reviews but I never had any problems with them. Octopus - nice graphics/website but rotten prices, don't expect they'll retain many Iresa customers.0 -

Same here, my switch to Eversmart did happen on 10th Sept but apart from that neither Octopus or Eversmart have responded to any of my e-mails nor changed or updated their websites to acknowledge the swap.
Dunno what meter reading they are proposing to use although I did phone one through to ES on 9th Sept but it doesn't appear on my online account and I cant update it either.
Octopus haven't taken a DD as I cancelled my IRESA one so I owe them around £25.
The ES dd came out on the appointed day. I'll just keep my own records and I suspect that it'll sort itself out eventually - fingers crossed.Never under estimate the power of stupid people in large numbers0 -
I've just got an email from Imran at Octopus saying that they need to repay the £5 that they owe me, but do not have a current DD that they can pay it through (I cancelled the Iresa one).
Octopus agreed on the start reading that I supplied to Eversmart
They asked me to set up a DD so that they can do the refund. They quite clearly stated that they would not be taking any money, but I've set up the DD for £1, the minimum it would let me do. As soon as I get the cash, I'll cancel the DD.
I can now enter my meter reads on the Eversmart website, so that appears to be working OK. No doubt the first correct bill will be the proof! They have also taken the first DD on the agreed date.
Like others, we shall see!0
