Hello, I'm still around, reading posts and following challenges, just not got a number this month. Have sorted all dd's and so's that are not necessary. Just left with my Guide dogs puppy sponsorship and Ancestry.com. I enjoy family research and I am on my 4th puppy hence reason for not cancelling. I should now have more disposable income whereby I can pay more than minimum amounts to my debts. I hope to have paid off £2000 by Christmas.

I've had an expensive but pleasant year so far. My mum paid for us to go on a fantastic cruise with lots of international music performers of every genre. I managed to only spend £92 for drinks, etc. Then I went on another cruise with friends! I booked it last year before I really started to sort myself out. But again I spent £150, which included 2 excursions and 2 lunches. So I was pleased with that.

Then we had celebrations for my mum's 95th birthday which cost quite a bit but were enjoyable as all the family were together.

Since then I have not planned anything. I am not going with friends next year. I had the perfect excuse as they are going to Dubai etc. Too hot for me not have not got the money.

Christmas is sorted. I have a savings pot for birthday and Christmas which will pay for all the presents. So far I have £18 Tesco vouchers, £14 Sainsburys vouchers and £12 co op vouchers so by Christmas they will pay for the food.

My saver tips are, cut the bottom of all tubes eg toothpaste and you will get a good few days more usage. Secondly I run hot water over washing up liquid bottle tops and fill the bottles with water. Again it surprises me how much longer it lasts.

Will retire back onto the side lines again, doing the best I can and cheering everyone on. Hugs to all who need them.

    NSD 1/3,
My mantra is After I ....I will. eg After I make my morning coffee, I will take my medication. Eventually this will become a habit,

NSD 11/15. Still got lots in the freezer and determined to use it up. Made some soup with the left over chicken from yesterday and that will be lunch tomorrow and possibly Wednesday.
Washing done but can't get it outside to dry. First time in ages that's happened but it should dry overnight indoors.
Another suggestion for your unwanted furniture and household good, Tropically. Can your local council put you in touch with a charity that is looking for items for homeless people who are being given accommodation (families from women's refuges, etc). We gave all my late Mother's furniture to one and they were happy to take anything including pots. pans, crockery, cutlery etc. Just a thought if you have bits and pieces that you can't sell.
Have adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.

Dotty - Those are great tips. I'm always being told off by Himself for not getting everything out of tubes but I just don't have enough strength in my hands to squeeze out every last drop. What a good idea. I don't know why I didn't think of that.

    NSD today 10/20.
Found a couple of free local activities for this week. 2 within walking distance and the other one is a short bus journey.
Finally managed to get myself out for a walk. MH has not been too good recently.
Managed to do a little bit of decluttering and housework.

Aim 3 NSDs - another 1 today (in fact I ended the day 'up' as I returned an item)

    Update (Budgets) done.

Get (prepared for Xmas) Have written list of bdays between now and end of Jan and Xmas list. and come up with a few ideas of what I'd like from people (eg: my mum) (So far ideas for me include 2 new bread tins (found the exact ones I want), Sanctuareeee smellies and a bottle of perfume to replace the one I'm running low on)

Utilise Day in today - still sorting things out. Smallest 2 did some tidying/ sorting in their rooms

Share (money saving tips) use toiletries which you don't like in other ways - have a face cream which is too heavy/ brings you out in spots? - Don't bin it, use it on your body. A shampoo which makes your hair lifeless? - use it as shower gel or in handwash bottles. Face oil/ handcream received as part of a gift set but you don't use them? - again, use them on your body (I mix a bit at a time of face oil into other creams in a tub)
Make use of your freezer - any veg which need to be used but you don't fancy/ you don't want soup etc - chop and freeze. I don't even blanch any I freeze - time saving :) Mushrooms are only suitable afterwards for things like chilli, but at least not wasted. Keep an eye on your fridge - check it every couple of days (at least) to ensure no produce is overlooked which needs to be used up - either eat it or freeze it, not waste it :)

Treat (yourself) still need to book my eyebrows - will aim to book them this week

Kery woman - take care and be kind to yourself.

Today I am grateful for doing an old bodyrock workout (dive bombers 'n' all), for dd doing some hwk, for starting the process of opening a savings account for dd, for the lady in barc1ays sorting out what I wanted on mum's account, for the washing not getting too wet on the line, for picking 1 kilo of blackberries, for time spent crafting with dd.

So far, my treat for the month is a 1!!!8364; pair of 12 mm bamboo knitting needles that I bought in Spain. Totally bargainaceous! And I still have approx £2 left... Off to the £ shop on Friday!!

SFD number 8 yesterday, only spends were petrol and chiropractor (medical) and they are both allowed on a SFD (or did I make that up?!)

Did some temping work and went to school and helped the new staff settle in to their new classrooms. Also swam and did two dog walks.

Just seen that my pet insurers have paid me back the money I have overpaid for the last 5 years! (They forgot to apply a discount) so that is £109 coming back to me :)

Today will be spendy as I need food and maybe parking when I meet my friend for a walk.
