Mostly ready for the move now
I attempted clearing under my bed last night and got the bulk of stuff out from under there, couldn't spend too long though as I was propping the mattress up by myself so will have to clear out the last few small bits and pieces as the bed is dismantled on Saturday morning.
All that I really have left to do is:
-touch up some paint (quick job)
-pack the last clothes left that I won't need now (just need one more work shirt, and some clothes to wear Saturday morning)
-one last sift through of the items that are left, pack or discard
There are some toiletries and items (hairdryer etc) that I will need up until I go so will go in a backpack on the day, but really it's all very close to being done! :eek:0 -
All sounding good :j

Very exciting.
Does OH have a small box set aside for kettle/tea/coffee/toilet roll etc? (This comes from more moves than I care to count. Suffice to say my parents are currently in house no 27 since they got married, and that doesn't include married quarters...)26.2.19/14.1.19: T MC 3629.26/3629.26 : VM 0% 1050/13876.59 : W 0% 100/1485 = 4409.26/18990.85 =25.17%28.1.19/28.1.19 Hubs 0% £400/£2,977 =13.44%SPC 2019 #073

He does haha, he'll be taking that in the car when he gets the keys so it's the first thing in the house before my brother and I take the moving van to the current place :rotfl:0 -
One more sleep! Can you tell I'm excited?!
Stayed with OH last night to help pack and we did a big grocery shop online as Sainsburys gave us a money off an online shop code and just makes things easier then, less rushing around to do on the day.
Parcelforce attempted to deliver our units a day early, and to re-book for tomorrow was costing £12 online, but OH complained to B & Q as it was specifically booked for tomorrow, and now it is being redelivered free of charge, as it should be!
One of my foot exercises gave me grief so physio said to swap it for another one and that he was happy for me to massage it myself until I see him next, asked him for tips on doing that and got a video on Whatsapp showing how to do it was was very useful. Did it this morning followed by 20 minutes of heat and was able to do the new exercise with no pain which hurt when I tried it yesterday, so feeling very optimistic now!
Between tonight and tomorrow morning I need to pack up my last few bits so all that is left is the stuff that will go in my backpack on Saturday morning - which currently holds my toiletries anyway. It will be nice not to have to keep lugging things between two places! I still need to touch up the pain as well but that won't take long at all now I have the room to use the stepladder.
