What’s the point of posting on a forum if nothing that anyone posts can be questioned?0 -
The Chequers plan could be voted down by up to 100 Conservative MP's as they think it gives too much away.
The EU have also rejected it as asking for too much.
If she gives any more away there will be numerous cabinet resignations and it won't get through Parliament. If she drops the chequers plan and goes back to her original red lines then EU will reject that also.
What option do you think is now available?0 -
Well, the pound is at 12 month lows against US dollar and falling from around 1.43 to 1.28 this past 4 months. Again against the Euro it's around 1.09 down from 1.15 a few months ago.

There was a piece on the £/€ in World Business Report podcast yesterday. The diagnosis was that the € is riding high mainly due to German current economic success outweighing Southern EU's woes.
Focus is on Italy where yields on Government debt are drifting out and a budget is due in November.0 -

Just to clarify, you don’t feel that people should question statements about Brexit unless it was originally made through official channels? That’s what I’m getting from your recent posts but please feel free to correct me if this isn’t how you feel.0 -

The will of the people as expressed in the 2016 referendum. Nothing electorally has happened subsequently that trumps that as far as I can see.“Britain- A friend to all, beholden to none”. 🇬🇧0 -

.....but democracy is not set in stone. Having referendum's didn't end in 2016. The more a 'no deal' brexit seems likely, the mess we are in will become more obvious and the clamour for parliament to have a say will grow. There is no majority in parliament for a 'no deal brexit'.0
