Still waiting for Labour's proposals. Meanwhile the expected response has already been made. The UK is becoming a laughing stock. Told we cannot cherry pick and 2 years later still wants to.
EU to step up planning for no-deal Brexit - Juncker, Michel
"The European Union will intensify its preparations for a scenario in which Britain leaves the bloc without a withdrawal agreement, the bloc’s chief executive and Belgium’s prime minister said on Tuesday.
“The risk of a disorderly withdrawal of the United Kingdom has increased with this evening’s vote,” Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker said in a statement following the British parliament’s rejection of a Brexit deal with the EU.
“While we do not want this to happen, the European Commission will continue its contingency work to help ensure the EU is fully prepared,” he said. Belgium’s Prime Minister Charles Michel said on Twitter his country was also stepping up its planning for a Brexit no-deal."

It certainly is a mess. May does not listen. Her whole stance was focused on the Conservative Party divisions. Listening is what she lectures others to do. The EU s till does not understand what Parliament wants and May is just refusing any change her position.
No leadership from May or Corbyn. Corbyn does not have the power so his inadequacies hardly matter. May is so dogmatic that she is incapable of change.
Reportedly the Cabinet had a big row todayFew people are capable of expressing with equanimity opinions which differ from the prejudices of their social environment. Most people are incapable of forming such opinions.0 -

Mmm, well Corbyn wants Brexit so he's not going to be that vocal about cancelling it.0 -

Rather than simply throw mud at the messenger. Which is easy to do. Perhaps Parliament in particular Labour need to come off the fence and provide some clear direction. I was utterly confused by the Labour spokeperson tonight. Not one iota of clarity. Just one objective. Totally disheartening.0 -

I am a Brexit supporter who welcomes legal immigration. How does that fit your blinkered point of view?
I'd say that you have no idea what you are on about. Which fits my views of Brexiters accurately.0 -

Which is why I think we need an election now, as much as I hate to agree with Dzeremij. Let's have both sides set out their stalls and then we elect whom we want to implement which plan.“I could see that, if not actually disgruntled, he was far from being gruntled.” - P.G. Wodehouse0 -
Are you sure?
Edit: DUP announced support for May, I wonder what she's bribing them with now.
Will any Tory abstain or vote against May?
They have been pretty open about it, the only way they will vote against May is if her current deal actually passes Parliament, that would force their hands to bring the government down.
In the meantime they would like May gone and replaced with someone more to their taste like Johnson, but they aren't willing to risk the possibility of a Corbyn government (or lose their strong leverage in the current parliament) in a GE unless they feel forced to.0 -
Anyone with a brain in their heads must be so embarrassed by this total shambles.
No leadership, no planning, no nothing.
The vote fell tonight, but what do those who opposed have to offer instead? Nothing I think.
The backstop is there because the UK cannot be trusted to negotiate fairly, and I am fully behind the backstop for that reason, in order to keep the GFA intact.
But whatever, I am sure there are many who do not even know where NI is, or indeed that it is part of the UK, probably never did. So therefore the backstop is totally required. There is a legal responsibility on the UK to uphold the GFA. It is an International Agreement, the EU never had any hand act or part in its ratification.
But the EU is supporting it as it is an International Agreement, and they always did.
I hope other NI ers on here have a view on this. And Brexiteers also advocating a No Deal exit too.
All other avenues are gone now. The EU has been very patient up to now but must be sniggering behind their coffee at the shenanigans.0 -

Labour don't have a plan. They are divided as much as the Tories. Momentum simply want the opportunity to deselect sitting MP's.0
