Brexit the economy and house prices part 6

Germany is in recession (funny that, it was SUPPOSED to be us Brits in recession for daring to vote "leave"!).
:wall:
This most recent quarter, you are correct, Germany was in recession. But the three quarters prior to that, they were growing faster than the UK, so we might be right behind Germany.

I hope everyone is prepared for Tuesday's 'bun fight'
. No doubt another issue will be thrown into the Brexit arena to 'put a cat amongst the pigeons'. Meanwhile the world looks on, aghast at the way in which our politicians continue to conduct themselves.

Looking forward to the drop to be honest.0

PhilE, you are disgusting. Why do you think that people voted Brexit down to racism. I find that most people that assume people are racists are the biggest racists of all.
Why is it that Brexiters can't debate without resorting to insults?
You based your vote on racism, yet you hate it when people point out the obvious. No need to cry about it.
You saw images of Syrian refugees on the TV, and believed the news reports that they were coming to a street near you. So you voted for Brexit, without thought of consequence.0 -
Very true.
Remainers are racist because they want preferential treatment of EU people over more qualified people from other parts of the world.
You mean like the attempted trade deals with Africa and India?
Lovely countries. Unfortunately, there is no African car that I've heard of to rival Mercedes. And if you can name me an Indian washing machine, I'll check it out.
Trade deals have to be what the other has to offer, pure and simple.
On that note, we're going to have less to offer than Europe after Brexit. India and Africa are going to be a lot more interested in the EU, than us. But if any Brexiters would like to inform me of British goods equal or better than German ones, I'd be interested to know.0 -

Ive spent a total of 3 years in India on business. There's no way Id choose Onida over Miele.
However, this is all nonsense. Brexiters didn't vote for the good of the Indian and African people. They voted to keep out refugees, which were apparently invading our shores.
To vote for something out of ignorance and racism, and then suggesting it was all for the good of third world countries, is alarming and quite frankly dangerous.
Which is why many of us are opposed to Brexit and the mentality behind it.0 -

You mean like a good number of your own posts? Your response to #4901 is a fine example of the pot calling the kettle black.
I am a Brexit supporter who welcomes legal immigration. How does that fit your blinkered point of view? The fascists of the future will call themselves anti-fascists.0 -

With the possibility of a Brexit not happening we will not have the opportunity to see what a trade deal will be like between 27 countrys and Britain. Which is just as UK widget makers don’t have much lobbying muscle.
Unless of course “no deal” happens then 27 unhappy potential trade partners will be cutting a very tough trade deal if at all. There will be no Brexit dividend for Britain.0 -

As it happens I voted Remain, so how was that based on racism. You talk about other people using insults then you turn around and insult those you accuse.
However now, if I had my time again, I would vote Leave, too much has happened, we have seen the other side of the eu and I do not like it, I do not want to be part of a us of e, and, quite frankly, I want to get out before they dig themselves right into the ground.
We have seen how manipulative they wish to be, and it would appear that the euro is simply a mechanism to prevent countries from leaving, they end up so far in debt to the eu that they cannot afford to leave.
Juncker even went so far as to beg other eu leaders not to give their people a referendum on the eu because they could vote to leave!! So basically, don't ask the question because they might give the wrong answer.
I now think we would be best off getting away from the protectionist debt-ridden bureaucratic organisation that is the eu.What is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare0
