Round here immigrants from anywhere tend to all move to the same area, they do not integrate, a lot of them do not bother to even learn English.

I wonder if that's because they don't want to integrate, or the locals don't want to integrate with them?
We don't have any problems with migrants integrating up here on the whole, some older generation (usually Pakistani rather than Polish) don't speak English but it's rare. They do tend to stay in smallish areas but thats natural and we're not talking about ghettos.
Lots of people speaking other languages but why shouldn't 2 Poles visit a Polish grocers and speak in Polish?

I think we are currently over capacity, we have too many people after too few natural resources.

I posted some facts the other day to show our population density is actually pretty low. In London it's about half of New York or Seoul. We've only built over something like 5% of our landmass.

With a bit of infrastructure planning (and some forced purchases/redevelopments, admittedly) we could double the population of London without any hassle.

We ain't even close to capacity.

Yes the population density is low, but where is the extra water required going to come from?

I don't care if Poles want to speak to other Poles in Polish, I do care about them forcing other costs on the nhs, I do care about them expecting a free ride because they can't speak the language and can't be bothered to learn. And it is not just Poles, it is a lot of Eastern Europeans, Blair should not have opened the door to them. Proof that Labour are fully capable of wrecking our country.
What is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare

The most frustrating bit about this is the EU (well France and Germany at the time I believe) actually did warn him what would happen....he ignored them....and it has happened

From the sky? We do live in a country with quite a bit of precipitation if you hadn't noticed yet, busy as you are analyzing your local Polish community.
    But thanks for the chuckle.
'The furreners are stealing our water!' :rotfl:
Don't blame me, I voted Remain.

Where does NY get it's water from?

They don't. Migrants are less likely to use the NHS (being that they are usually younger and less sedentary), and even if they did use the NHS they contribute taxes and pay NI to cover it just like everyone else. Maybe another generation or 2 when the Poles start retiring in the UK (assuming they don't move "home") that'll change.

    They don't.
Some won't learn the language but it's a tiny tiny proportion of them. How many Poles have you met that don't speak English? All the ones I've encountered speak better English than I do.
Even those that don't "speak English" speak better English that I speak Polish for example. I'd need a translator if I wanted to do anything complex/important in Poland.

The young Polish child I personally know about needs translator help due to his special education needs.

The cost of this tuition was £44/hour. It's probably slightly higher now. His parents don't even earn that figure combined!

IMO translation costs should be borne by the customer. In fact, I did exactly this when I worked more in EU mainland.

I don't think there is an EU requirement to provide translation free, so we once again seem out of kilter with our EU neighbours.

If they integrate and contribute, sure, the more the merrier.

Provided they don't all arrive at once and we're prepared to invest in the infrastructure we could accommodate 10/20/30 million net contributors easily. Over another 32 years? I'm sure we could manage.
It's a political problem, not a logistical problem.

I doubt the South East would handle 5m people moving from Scotland to Essex overnight either, so I don't see the source destination of these people as being particularly relevant.

At least you are honest, so I should be honest in return.

I will oppose people like you every opportunity I get.

I don't believe your 'we will manage' guarantees, because of the evidence of a lack of 'management' ever since the FOM numbers jumped in the early noughties.

I'm not against Scotland going it alone, and choosing a mass migration approach though. You should be able to decide for yourself.

Labour later pretended that it was a policy decision, to change the voting landscape.

...sounds better than blatant incompetence I suppose.

He ignored them and lo and behold, we became the fastest growing, most prosperous economy in Europe. ;)

I don't believe your 'we will manage' guarantees, .

And in the spirit of honesty, as this country desperately needs many million more migrants to rebalance the ageing population and ensure the continued competitiveness and prosperity of the nation, then your concerns about these minor inconveniences around infrastructure are of little relevance.

If your side was even remotely honest about it, you'd admit the scale of the UK's demographic crisis and explain to voters that your vision of the future involves decaying public services, higher taxes and lower benefits for the masses, and a reduced standard of living for everyone.

But your side is not honest about it.... They continue to try and mislead the public, and spread anti-immigrant disinformation, fear and propaganda.

So I will continue to oppose people like you every chance I get.

Brexiteers may have won the battle, but thankfully, they're losing the war.
